T-shirt Straw Poll (Feb 25 - Mar 2)

We are finally starting to see McCain really pull away from the pack although many people are still interested in supporting other candidates:

John McCain -46%
Mike Huckabee - 28%
Mitt Romney - 17%
Rudy Giuliani - 5%
Fred Thompson - 3%
Duncan Hunter - 1%
Ron Paul - 0%
Tom Tancredo - 0%
Newt Gingrich- 0%
Condoleezza Rice - 0%
Sam Brownback - 0%

We are also starting to see an even greater number of our John McCain for El Presidente of Mexico! T-shirts being sold as well.

American Infidel T-shirts Continues Racecar Sponsorship

I am happy to announce that American Infidel T-shirts will once again be sponsoring Rick Huffman’s #9 Grand American Modified race car for the upcoming 2008 season. Rick Huffman races at Motordrome in Smithton, Pennsylvania on Friday Nights.

Rick is coming off his best season yet, finishing eighth overall in the class in 2007 and has plans to do even better this year. I am currently working on finalizing the design for our brand new t-shirts this year which will be available hopefully before the season begins and should be up for purchase soon.

T-shirt Straw Poll Results (Feb 18 - 24)

The T-shirt Straw Poll keeps going.  For the first time we have seen a major move away from people buying t-shirts of candidates no longer in the race although Mitt Romney is still very strong.

John McCain -32%
Mike Huckabee - 31%
Mitt Romney - 21%
Rudy Giuliani - 7%
Fred Thompson - 7%
Duncan Hunter - 2%
Ron Paul - 0%
Tom Tancredo - 0%
Newt Gingrich- 0%
Condoleezza Rice - 0%
Sam Brownback - 0%

I still cannot believe that people are buying Mitt Romney merchandise in such numbers.  But it is what it is.

The poll will continue until there is a nominee out of the Republican Party.

T-shirt Straw Poll Rolls On (Results Feb 11 - 17)

Some might wonder why on Earth I am continuing to report on the T-shirt Straw Poll even as McCain seems to have the nomination all sewn up.  Well, because it is interesting to see people still buying designs for other candidates.  McCain, still can’t muster enough support in the Straw Poll to climb to #1 because of this.

Mitt Romney - 22%
John McCain -20%
Mike Huckabee - 20%
Rudy Giuliani - 15%
Fred Thompson - 15%
Duncan Hunter - 7%
Ron Paul - 1%
Tom Tancredo - 0%
Newt Gingrich- 0%
Condoleezza Rice - 0%
Sam Brownback - 0%

Say what you will, but the fact that McCain is still tied for second when it comes down to who people are spending money to support says something.  In fact all the remaining candidates (McCain, Huckabee and Paul) are struggling against people not even in the race anymore.  Paul can’t even get a foot hold in the poll.

Is there discontent in the GOP and among conservatives?  I think this shows that there is.

Remember 1 item purchased = 1 vote.

T-shirt Straw Poll Results (Feb 4 - 10)

Despite suspending his campaign, Mitt Romney is still leading the T-shirt Straw Poll for the past week:

Mitt Romney - 24%
John McCain -19%
Mike Huckabee - 19%
Rudy Giuliani - 16%
Fred Thompson - 15%
Duncan Hunter - 6%
Ron Paul - 2%
Tom Tancredo - 0%
Newt Gingrich- 0%
Condoleezza Rice - 0%
Sam Brownback - 0%

Talk about people not being happy with the choices they have with only McCain, Huckabee and Paul remaining as official candidates.  Even after Romney dropped out, sales remained steady and Huckabee got a bump in his sales to tie him with McCain.  And despite Guiliani, Thompson and Hunter all being out of the race as well, they are still beating Ron Paul hands down this past week.

Remember, the T-shirt Straw Poll operates on a 1 item 1 vote principle.  So to show your support buy something from our stores with your candidate on them.

T-shirt Straw Poll Jan 28 - Feb 3

Romney is still leading this week and John McCain has gained no ground headed into Super Tuesday according to our unscientific T-shirt Straw Poll.  Overall, purchases remained surprisingly similar to last week:

Mitt Romney - 29%
John McCain -19%
Rudy Giuliani - 16%
Mike Huckabee - 15%
Fred Thompson - 15%
Duncan Hunter - 5%
Ron Paul - 1%
Tom Tancredo - 0%
Newt Gingrich- 0%
Condoleezza Rice - 0%
Sam Brownback - 0%

Also surprising is how well Fred Thompson and Duncan Hunter are doing considering both have dropped out of the race for the GOP nomination.  Pretty sad when you have a candidate still running (Ron Paul) who can’t even over take guys not running anymore.

Remember, 1 item = 1 vote.

T-shirt Straw Poll Results Jan 21 -27

Mitt Romney has exploded this week, opening a commanding lead while Mike Huckabee has dropped like a stone from a near dead heat for the lead to 4th, barely ahead of Fred Thompson who isn’t even in the race anymore.

Mitt Romney - 27%
John McCain -18%
Rudy Giuliani - 17%
Mike Huckabee - 16%
Fred Thompson - 15%
Duncan Hunter - 5%
Ron Paul - 2%
Tom Tancredo - 0%
Newt Gingrich- 0%
Condoleezza Rice - 0%
Sam Brownback - 0%

Despite being out of the race, both Thompson and Hunter continue to be more popular than even Ron Paul which is surprising.  But their supporters keep buying up election related gear.

T-shirt Straw Poll Results Jan 14th through 20th

Romney and Huckabee are still duking it out at the top and Mitt Romney holds a slight lead (see “official” numbers).  John McCain gained a few more points and Fred Thompson and Rudy Giuliani slip.

Mitt Romney - 21% (officially 21.1%)
Mike Huckabee - 21% (officially 20.8%)
John McCain -19%
Fred Thompson - 15%
Rudy Giuliani - 14%
Duncan Hunter - 8%
Ron Paul - 2%
Tom Tancredo - 0%
Newt Gingrich- 0%
Condoleezza Rice - 0%
Sam Brownback - 0%

Ron Paul fans rejoice!  You finally made it back above 1% of all items we sold for candidates!

Remember the T-shirt straw poll operates on a 1 item, 1 vote principle.  You can either buy them from our Cafepress site (linked above) or from our affiliates at Printfection, Zazzle and other great sites around the Internet.

T-shirt Straw Poll Results Jan 7th through 13th

As primary season rolls on, so does the T-shirt Straw Poll.  Romney retains his lead followed closely by Rudy Giuliani, Fred Thompson and Mike Huckabee.

Mitt Romney - 23%
Rudy Giuliani - 19%
Fred Thompson - 19%
Mike Huckabee - 18%
John McCain -13%
Duncan Hunter - 7%
Ron Paul - 1%
Tom Tancredo - 0%
Newt Gingrich- 0%
Condoleezza Rice - 0%
Sam Brownback - 0%

We are still not seeing any spike for John McCain like other polls are showing although Duncan Hunter did show another week of growth gaining another 2 percentage points.  Ron Paul still brings up the rear of candidates still in the race.

Remember the T-shirt Straw Poll operates on a 1 item 1 vote policy.  You can buy products produced by Land of the Free Studios, Inc. that count towards the poll at Cafepress, Printfection, Zazzle and many other sites.
