On A Non-Political Note: Gary Gygax Is Dead
On March 4th, Gary Gygax, co-creator of the Dungeons and Dragons gaming system, died.
Aw, man! What’s really sad is that he violated what is probably the most important rule that anyone who ever played the game learned. That rule is never, never, never go anywhere without a cleric. See? See what happens when you don’t have a cleric! You end up dead!
Can we get the man a rez?
A very special prayer request
A good friend and great American patriot has been diagnosed with cancer of the throat and lungs they are not giving us very much hope and it is especially hard on her husband Jessie and Mom Barbara, so please pray for Karen Cooley, storm the Heavens for this wonderful woman and her family.
Thank you,
Carolyn Hileman
Wyoming Senator Craig Thomas Dies
You might never have heard his name since but on Monday, the three term Senator died from acute myeloid leukemia. Our prayers and thoughts are with his family.
And to address the few of you wackjob moonbats who have already written me saying disgusting things like (and these are actual quotes):
“GOOD DAMN RIDDENCE! NOW GOVERNOR FRUEDENTHAL CAN APPOITN A PATRIOTIC DEMOCRATS!”
and …
“Perhaps you read this … another dead conservative makes me happy.”
and let’s not let this one go …
“Servs the damn warmonger right I hope he rots in hell and has fun playing shuffleboard with his fellow right wing fascists like Hitler and Fallwell but doing Satan up the butt!”
You might be even more enraged to know that Wyoming law states that the governor MUST choose his successor from a list of three candidates submitted by the Republican State Central Committee.
Aw. So sorry. Go spew your hared somewhere else.
Retarded Gang Members Assault Staples Employees For Red Uniforms

Two Petaluma store employees and a shopping center customer were beaten by reputed gang members, apparently for wearing red clothing, police said Tuesday. The attacks happened near the Staples office supply store on South McDowell Boulevard, where two workers and another person were assaulted.
Two 17-year-olds, a boy and a girl, were later arrested.
It was the second attack in Petaluma over colors in two months. In April, a 12-year-old boy was hit on the head with a skateboard after he refused to take off a red shirt.
“It’s the same thing we keep running into,” said Sgt. Jim Stephenson, head of the Petaluma police gang unit. “Guys going after colors.”
Let me say this clearly for you retards in gangs that attack people because the color of shirt they wear offends you because another gang has adopted it. You are all a bunch of pussies. You have no courage. You have no brains. You are just pathetic little cowards who cannot stand on your own and are looking to make yourselves feel tough.
You are human waste that deserves a flush down the toilet of life.
Motorcycles At The White House
WASHINGTON — President Bush likes a serene White House most Sundays. Every now and then, though, he is ready for rumble.
Leaders of Rolling Thunder, the motorcycling group that raises awareness about missing veterans, roared right up the mansions’ driveway this Sunday. Bush, just back from a weekend at Camp David, stood alone outside the South Portico to meet them.
No Memorial Day weekend in the capital is complete without the ritualistic rumble of Rolling Thunder. For 20 years now, the nonprofit group has led a “Ride for Freedom” along the National Mall, a full-throttle demonstration in support of soldiers held captive or missing in action.
“How you doing, Artie? Welcome back,” the president told Artie Muller, the founder and executive director of the nonprofit group.
God Bless those that have never been found or accounted for.
Israeli Teacher Saved Lives in Shootings
JERUSALEM (April 17) - The e-mails arrived soon after Marlena Librescu learned her husband had been shot to death - from students telling how he barricaded the doorway of his Virginia Tech classroom and saved their lives. Liviu Librescu, an Israeli engineering and math lecturer, was one of several foreign victims of Monday’s shootings, which left 32 people dead, plus the gunman - South Korean national Cho Seung-Hui , 23.
“My father blocked the doorway with his body and asked the students to flee,” Librescu’s son, Joe Librescu, said Tuesday in a telephone interview from his home outside of Tel Aviv. “Students started opening windows and jumping out.”
Also among the victims was G.V. Loganathan, a 51-year-old engineering professor from India, his brother G.V. Palanivel said from the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Peruvian student Daniel Perez Cueva, 21, was also killed while in his French class, said his mother, Betty Cueva.
Loganathan, who was born in the southern Indian city of Chennai, had been a professor at Virginia Tech since 1982.
“For us it was like an electric shock. We’ve totally collapsed today,” his brother said. “Our parents are elderly and have broken down completely.”
Librescu, 76, had been a professor at Virginia Tech for 20 years and was widely respected in his field, his son said.
“His work was his life in a sense,” Joe Librescu said. “That was a good place for him to practice his research.”
Librescu and his wife immigrated to Israel from Romania in 1978, then moved to Virginia in 1985 for a sabbatical and ended up staying, said Joe Librescu, who himself studied at the school from 1989-1994.
The academic community in Romania also was mourning Librescu’s death.
“It is a great loss,” said Ecaterina Andronescu, rector of the Polytechnic University in Bucharest, where Librescu graduated with a degree in mechanics and aviation construction in 1953. “We have immense consideration for the way he reacted and defended his students with his life.”
At the university, people placed flowers on a table holding his picture and a lit candle. “We remember him as a great specialist in aeronautics. He left behind hundreds of prestigious papers,” said professor Nicolae Serban Tomescu.
Brouhaha Continues Over “Tomb of Jesus”
Several prominent scholars who were interviewed in a bitterly contested documentary that suggests that Jesus and his family members were buried in a nondescript ancient Jerusalem burial cave have now revised their conclusions, including the statistician who claimed that the odds were 600:1 in favor of the tomb being the family burial cave of Jesus of Nazareth, a new study on the fallout from the popular documentary shows.
The dramatic clarifications, compiled by epigrapher Stephen Pfann of the University of the Holy Land in Jerusalem in a paper titled “Cracks in the Foundation: How the Lost Tomb of Jesus story is losing its scholarly support,” come two months after the screening of The Lost Tomb of Christ that attracted widespread public interest, despite the concomitant scholarly ridicule.
You can read the whole article for information on how the dispute continues. Personally I have always warned people to be wary of archeology as much of it is open to the interpretation of the archeologist and what he or she wants the finds to say.
Prayers for John Edwards Wife
Today John Edwards announced that his wife’s cancer has return. While called incurable it is treatable and I wish to extend prayers for Elizabeth Edwards and her recovery.
Don’t worry. This does not mean that I will treat “Mr. Hair” John Edwards with any less fervor when his comments and actions dictate it.
Teens Accused of School Murder Plot
RINER, Va. (March 17) - Two teens were charged with conspiracy to commit murder after one of them allegedly took a gun to school and at least one discussed shooting the principal and others, authorities said. The boys, ages 14 and 15, were taken into custody Friday, said Lt. Brian Wright of the Montgomery County sheriff’s office.
He said another student told sheriff’s Deputy Kirk Hendricks, Auburn Middle School’s resource officer, that the boys had a gun. “He probably saved some lives,” Wright said.
Officers found a .22-caliber revolver and an undisclosed amount of ammunition, but it was not clear who the gun belonged to or how the boy obtained it, Wright said. He would not say where the gun was found. No shots were fired.
“We take this seriously, and the fact that we found a gun and ammo means this wasn’t just talk,” Wright said.
According to a preliminary investigation, at least one of the boys talked about plans to shoot Hendricks, Principal Guylene Wood-Setzer and at least one student, Wright said. Authorities would not say why the three were allegedly targeted.
The boys’ names were withheld because they are minors. The 15-year-old was also charged with taking a gun onto school property and possession of a firearm by someone under 18.
Wood-Setzer declined to comment.
The school has 291 students in grades six through eight.
Hard-Core Porn Interrupts Brokaw Show
MESA, Ariz. (March 14) - A cable news program was temporarily replaced with hard-core pornography, shocking viewers who had been watching a health show featuring former NBC News anchor Tom Brokaw. The incident Monday night on KPPX-TV was “an act of human sabotage” at the Phoenix-area station, said ION Television, which operates the station.“We have launched a rigorous investigation, and any implicated employees will face strict disciplinary action and termination,” ION Media Networks spokeswoman Leslie Monreal said in a statement.
Brenda Schodt, of Chandler, said she was shocked to look up and see graphic sex acts on her television screen.
“Maybe five or 10 minutes into the show there was no volume,” Schodt said. “I thought it was the TV, but when I looked up, there were these images.”
ION Television, based in West Palm Beach, Fla., declined to say whether the pornography aired beyond the Phoenix market.
