The military first told us that Major Hasan, the shooter at Fort Hood, had died. Then this morning when I awoke I learned that this was not true. All very weird. I want to say that I am happy he is not dead because I want to see what our interrogators have in store for him which could be a fate far worse than death and it should be. I want to know what he knows and our intelligence officials should get every last bit of information from him.

America has also learned a lot more about this man who, to put it bluntly, is a coward. And the more we learn about Mr. Hasan, the more we see him for what he really is.

Maj. Hasan is one of those typical sorts it seems who join the military and take tax payer dollars to support their education and lives. But when they are asked to repay that debt and serve their country they get all offended about such a request. Hasan apparently was not all that happy that the United States was fighting his radical Islamic brothers and sisters abroad and when he learned that the messiah, Barack Obama was not going to immediately halt the fight against them he reportedly became even more agitated at the situation. His pending deployment to fight against the Jihadis he seems to have supported, by several reports, apparently pushed him over the edge.

His family seems to be feigning surprise! Yet already reporters have had little trouble turning up at least a few people inside and outside of the military whom Hasan had given detailed information to about his opinions on the matter of the War Against Islamic Terror. Even more stranglely, according to reports, Hasan, a life-long Muslim and United States citizen, listed his nationality as “Palestinian” with his Mosque according to reports.

There is also a bizarre and quite frankly morbid attempt going on right now by some to portray Hasan as the victim in all this. There are claims that he was the victim of harassment because of his faith. Yet after having spoken to several active duty soldiers and veterans, their response to such claims is disbelief reinforcing that there is no way that a Major would be harassed without serious implications for those doing the harassment no matter where it came from in the chain of command. It just does not seem to happen. Reports are that he had few friends and was a loner. Apparently now we see why! The man was a psycho!

I have also heard reports that seem to portray this man as having led some sort of ultimately stressful existence while in the military. There are people that are writing rambling excuses for this man that makes it sound as if he had been on the front lines of the War Against Islamic Terror watching his buddies getting blown to smithereens and dying in his arms. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Here, however, is what we ultimately know. After the entire exercise of excuse making by the sniveling and once all the hand wringing is done the truth is just so simple. Nidal Malik Hasan is a cowardly terrorist. You can spin it any way you want. You can sugar coat the man with all the sweetness that you can concoct. But Hasan was just a little Jihadi who was biding his time waiting to kill. And no one, despite the warnings, seemed willing to do anything about it.

I said on Monday in a post titled, “When The Weird Gets Bizarre” that the whole issue of Barack Obama, his birth certificate and his ultimate eligibility to serve as President just keeps getting stranger and stranger with the actions of hospitals hiding so-called letters from the President proclaiming birth in one place while it has been repeatedly reported in others by the mainstream media. Of course despite once again reiterating that I do not think even the far left liberals of the Democratic Party would be dumb enough to blatantly nominate a constitutionally ineligible candidate I still got the obligatory hate mail from the Obamatons calling me a “birther” and worse for simply saying that we can put all this behind us and whatever it is that Obama believes he has to hide with a simple copy of this actual birth certificate (long form of course) that would either prove this controversy true or false. I would much rather brow beat him on his dumb plans for the U.S. economy from socialized health insurance to government take overs of private business.

However the saga seems unwilling to die and WorldNetDaily does a great job of keeping tabs on the weird things happening with regards to the issue. The left hates WND for this and other reasons and their vacuous attacks on the site while not actually disproving anything they have to say on the issue are always humorous reads.

The latest involves the case of U.S. Army Reservist Maj. Stefan Frederick Cook who has objected to being deployed out of concerns that he might be following the orders of an unqualified President and thus making him party to war crimes. He was scheduled to leave on assignment and fulfill his duties but remarkably, instead of pressing the issue and hauling Mr. Cook up on charges of insubordination the army has just circumvented having to deal with the issue according to Orly Taitz, his lawyer:

She continued, “They just said, ‘Order revoked.’ No explanation. No reasons – just revoked.”

I have talked to some military personnel and all of them but one have told me that they have been surprised to hear this. Apparently the military did not want to get involved over this dispute or perhaps the order to try and sweep this challenge under the rug came from the highest level of the military itself – the Oval Office. It is unknown but very bizarre that the military, a government funded wing with infinitely deep pockets, would just let the issue die.

The question becomes now, what if other use the same tactic and what if LOTS of other military personnel use this same tactic and decimate the military? I don’t think you will see that because members of the military generally do not tend to do things to benefit themselves that would put others in harms way. In this case, by refusing to deploy they would be sending another soldier in their stead. But then again, maybe this is a way to get attention to an issue that just doesn’t seem to want to die.

The mystery continues.

It was Easter Sunday, 2004. I got the visit from the Army that every military mother fears with every beat of her heart. I already knew what the gentleman would say, but I wasn’t prepared for the eternal void that hangs in my heart, spurring me to help other mothers and fathers whose brave sons and daughters gave their lives to protect our great country.

April 10, 2004 will forever be the day I relive the pain that shattered my world as I knew it. Our youngest son, a proud soldier, was killed by a terrorist who planted a roadside bomb. Justin knew he lived danger every day, and he was prepared to make the ultimate sacrifice after terrorists attacked America and killed 3,000 innocent people on Sept. 11, 2001.

In the five years since Justin died, I made it my mission to comfort moms and dads, sisters and brothers who have lost, as I have, a loved one in the military. I have met many and know what it’s like to belong to that most unfortunate club: The Gold Star families, those of us whose loved ones have given their lives to protect America. And I have a special appreciation for every man and woman serving in harm’s way each day.

Every Memorial Day, I remember not only Justin, but all of his buddies and every man and woman who died in the line of duty. My family has had someone fight in every war that America has had to fight, stretching back to the Revolutionary War. Justin was the first to give his life.

In Floyd County, Georgia, where our hometown of Rome is, Justin was the first Iraq War veteran to give his life; and the media call every year to ask what we’re doing for Memorial Day. We are doing the same thing we do every year. We are honoring our men and women. We will pray for them and their families. I will visit Justin’s grave in Myrtle Hill, not far from where we live. And I will remember our troops who continue Justin’s fight overseas.

Please remember out troops by sending them a care package this Memorial Day.

After Justin died my husband Joe decided he wanted to go to Iraq and finish the job Justin was doing. Justin was a gunner on a HMMWV (Humvee). I was beyond worried when Joe signed up with the National Guard, but Joe was determined. My heart sank when the Guard deployed Joe to Iraq in the same spot where Justin died.

Our only surviving son, Joshua, was also deployed with the Army to fight the war on terror in Afghanistan. Every day I prayed that I would not get another visit from the Army with the message – “we regret to inform you . . .”

The most important thing for my husband and sons while they served overseas was to hear from me and other Americans that we supported them and their missions. They were in danger every day as they fought for America’s security. Notes and packages from home give our troops hope as they suffer from brutal heat, stress from combat, and loneliness, as they long to be with their families.

As we remember those who served our country and gave their lives on Memorial Day, we must remember those who are currently putting their lives on the line for us every day. Nothing can bring back Justin, but I will honor him and the other fallen heroes by remembering his brothers and sisters in arms who are still on the front lines of the war on terror, fighting the good fight.

Please sponsor a care package for our troops. Move America Forward makes it easy to send a great box of goodies with a personalized message to our men and women in uniform. And what better way to show our troops who sacrifice so much that we remember them back home and honor their efforts?

God Bless our troops, our fallen heroes, our veterans, and the United States of America.

Barack Obama’s appointee to head the Department of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano, has attacked American war veterans, saying they’re a risk to the homeland because right-wing extremists could enlist them to terrorize the United States.

Napolitano allowed the offensive DHS threat “assessment,” entitled “Right Wing Extremism,” to be sent to over 800,000 law enforcement officers nationwide. The report included a controversial theory that supposedly “disgruntled” troops returning from Iraq and Afghanistan are prime candidates for domestic terror.

This smear of our heroic war veterans who have served so diligently and honorably in Iraq and Afghanistan is outrageous and unacceptable. And Napolitano’s half-hearted apology does nothing to reverse the damage done with her libel of our troops.

In fact her comments since the report was released only further dishonor our brave troops who don’t deserve this slander. “In retrospect,” she told The Hill, “anything can be written differently to prevent politicization. But I think any fair reading says this is very consistent with other reports that have been issued before.”

Napolitano is NOT apologizing for the inaccuracy of the report; she’s just trying to downplay it as being politicized! Well there is nothing POLITICAL about supporting our troops and Napolitano should lose her job for attacking them!

It is WRONG to have the Director of Homeland Security
attacking our troops for being terrorists!

Please make a donation to Move America Forward
FIRE NAPOLITANO!

We at Move America Forward, the largest protroop, grassroots organization in our country, are demanding that President Obama fire Janet Napolitano immediately! She has no place in the organization meant to protect our homeland when she attacks U.S. troops who risk their lives to protect us.

The petition is clear that we cannot tolerate the bigotry that Napolitano has shown toward our troops:

“Dear Mr. President

Your choice for Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano, has attacked returning military heroes by suggesting that they are a terrorist threat to the United States. Anyone who refuses to call our enemies “terrorists,” but can apply that to returning veterans has no place in our government and we demand you fire Janet Napolitano. . .

“Mr. President when you first hired Janet Napolitano to run the department that protects all of our lives here in the homeland, she REFUSED to mention terrorism in her very first speech as Secretary of DHS. She then even had the gall to refer to terrorist attacks as MAN-CAUSED DISASTERS. But, she has no hesitancy in suggesting that returning American troops could become “terrorists.”

The United States cannot stand for outrageous attacks against our troops from Barack Obama’s cabinet. As citizens, we must stand against those who demean and libel our troops.

Dear Families United Members and Supporters,

Over the last six years many producers, directors, and filmmakers have attempted to portray the war in Iraq on film. Most of their depictions of what our brave men and women do in Iraq have not been accurate or tries to convey a political message instead of the truth. That trend of misrepresentation ends on Friday when a new documentary “Brothers at War” will begin showing in six different cities.

“Brothers at War” is a story of three brothers – two of which went to war and the third went to find out why. Jake Rademacher sets out to understand the experience, sacrifice, and motivation of his two brothers serving in Iraq. The film follows Jake’s exploits as he embeds himself with four combat units to show unprecedented access to U.S. and Iraqi combat units and what life is like for them in Iraq. The movie also delves into the complexity of the military family and the emotions surrounding deployment of a loved one.

President Obama doesn’t really like our soldiers and he really doesn’t like the military at all. While proposing all sorts of unconstitutional programs to buy votes, Obama has repeatedly talked about cutting military funding. He is also giving a mighty F U to members of our military wounded in the line of duty by, in essence, looking to remove the responsibility of the government to treat them for their wounds received in the line of duty. And the American Legion is not amused.

WASHINGTON, March 16 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — The leader of the nation’s largest veterans organization says he is “deeply disappointed and concerned” after a meeting with President Obama today to discuss a proposal to force private insurance companies to pay for the treatment of military veterans who have suffered service-connected disabilities and injuries. The Obama administration recently revealed a plan to require private insurance carriers to reimburse the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) in such cases.

“It became apparent during our discussion today that the President intends to move forward with this unreasonable plan,” said Commander David K. Rehbein of The American Legion. “He says he is looking to generate $540-million by this method, but refused to hear arguments about the moral and government-avowed obligations that would be compromised by it.”

The Commander, clearly angered as he emerged from the session said, “This reimbursement plan would be inconsistent with the mandate ‘ to care for him who shall have borne the battle’ given that the United States government sent members of the armed forces into harm’s way, and not private insurance companies. I say again that The American Legion does not and will not support any plan that seeks to bill a veteran for treatment of a service connected disability at the very agency that was created to treat the unique need of America’s veterans!”

Wait, I though Obama was for universal health care? How does this mesh with that desire? Now he prefers private insurance? Don’t try to find any rational reason for this act because there is none.

Once again I am forced to go on the record and say that the government has an absolute responsibility to treat and care for all veterans wounded in the line of duty. It is part of the constitutional duty to fund the military. However our government has decided that rather than pay for the care of those soldiers that have served this nation Obama and his gang have decided to give all sorts of money to nearly every other group with a gripe or complaint about some perceived injustice and that has no Constitutional justification.

” There is simply no logical explanation for billing a veteran’s personal insurance for care that the VA has a responsibility to provide. While we understand the fiscal difficulties this country faces right now, placing the burden of those fiscal problems on the men and women who have already sacrificed a great deal for this country is unconscionable.”

“Fiscal difficulties” if I may so boldly state that this country would not be in if 70% of our federal budget was not assigned to unconstitutional spending like Social Security, Medicare, Welfare, etc. But hey, Obama’s a liberal so you have to expect this sort of crap.

Our troops are constantly doing good things for the local communities they work with in Iraq. After fighting al-Qaida and putting down the insurgency, Baghdad and most of Iraq are safer than the streets of Detroit.

But our troops also do a lot to help the Iraqi civilians, and just this week troops in the Iraq Karradah district took clothes, school supplies and other aid to local children and their families.

“More than 400 children gathered outside the Qairwan Elementary School’s courtyard to receive their supplies. Iraqi National Police (NP) officers and Multi-National Division—Baghdad Soldiers handed students backpacks, notebooks, pencil sets and crayons. Most of the supplies were donated by several organizations from the U.S., as well as family members of deployed troops”

While our troops are doing their job in Iraq, we have to do our job in the United States by supporting these heroic men and women of the military. There is no better way to show your appreciation for their hard work than by sending them a care package of goodies included with YOUR warm words of support, which we will happily put inside the package.

Our troops do so much for others; don’t they
deserve a little something for themselves?
Send our troops a care package from
a grateful American back home!

These care packages are filled with all sorts of goodies and other items that are hard to come by in field outposts in Iraq. Each care package includes a mix of different items including premium roasted coffee from our Cornerstone Coffee. We also send beef jerky, hot cocoa, ready to mix Gatorade, Oreo cookies, trail mix, Jelly Belly jelly beans, deodorant, Chap Stick, bug repellant, CDs and many other helpful items.

Here is a letter we received that a soldier wrote to us on the anniversary of September 11th describing why it’s so great to receive our care packages.

Send a care package for other troops like Maj. Czech in Iraq. While there are a few troops who are already able to come home, for most of our 140,000 troops still in Iraq it will be months or even a year before they are able to see their families again.

Claims the Military is Racist and Sexist!
Liberal anti-military groups are organizing to elect one of their own in the Congressional Special Election scheduled in 4 weeks in upstate New York. Scott Murphy, the Democratic candidate in New York’s 20th district, has a record of attacking our military. He is the last thing we need in Congress while our brave men and women of the military are serving us in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The polls show us winning, but we know the liberal attacks are about to start. We have to support the conservative pro-troop candidate, Republican Jim Tedisco.

Help us chip away at Nancy Pelosi’s majority by
keeping Murphy OUT of Congress

Murphy supported the outrageous position of the Congressional Black Caucus which claimed that “racism has become institutionalized at all levels of the military…Black and other minority service men are victims of discrimination from the time they enter the services to the time they are discharged”

If fact, he wrote that the military is discriminatory pretty much across the board. “The military not only discriminates on the basis of sexual preference but also on the basis of sex and race.”

Scott Murphy is your typical anti-military liberal. He went to Harvard and fought against bringing ROTC back to the campus. He made a fortune cashing in on the dot-com money mountain, but now wants to raise your taxes.

Murphy’s opponent, Republican Jim Tedisco, serves as the minority leader in the state Assembly and has many accomplishments both as a public servant and as an educator. And he totally supports our military.

Move America Forward Freedom PAC wants to get up to Albany and formally endorse Tedisco and point out the flaws with Murphy. The people of upstate New York need to hear the truth before the MoveOn and Code Pink crowd start their screaming. Please contribute today to help us win this important special election for those who support our troops.

Military Families United Releases GITMO Ad and Petition on President’s Terrorist Release

Washington, DC – February 23, 2009 – Today, Military Families United released a national advertisement in response to the breaking news that Binyam Mohamed, an ‘unlawful enemy combatant’ was released from Guantanamo Bay and freed in England. This is an unprecedented release because it is the first time that a GITMO detainee, who is classified as an “Unlawful Enemy Combatant” has been released – meaning that he still poses a threat to our national security and the security of our allies. All of the previous released GITMO detainees were declassified and determined to no longer be of intelligence value or pose a threat to our country.

“Military Families United has issued this ad to bring attention to the dangerous decision the White House has made in releasing Binyam Mohamed, a known member of al-Qaeda and alleged collaborator with the 9/11 mastermind, Khalid Sheikh Mohamed. Under the dark of night the Administration chartered a plane from Guantanamo Bay, Cuba to Britain to release this known terrorist as a free man. Actions speak louder than words in the War on Terror, and releasing dangerous terrorists as free men isn’t a way to keep America safe and secure,” said MFU’s Executive Director Brian Wise

“It is important the American people know how dangerous this decision is and how it will affect the ability for our brave men and women in uniform to win the War on Terror. This ad is designed to mobilize the American people to voice their opinions to the President that they do not want these terrorists released back into society where they pose a threat to America and its allies,” continued Wise.

In addition to the new advertisement, Military Families United distributed a petition to its members to urge President Obama to not release dangerous detainees from Guantanamo Bay if they still pose a threat to the United States. Military Families United will present this petition to the President and urge him to stop freeing terrorists.
