McCain Continues On Global Warming Train

Once again, if anyone needs to know why I will not vote for John McCain you only have to understand his insanity on certain issues. Issues such as Global Warming:

PHOENIX (AP) - Republican John McCain, reaching out to both independents and green-minded social conservatives, argues that global warming is undeniable and the country must take steps to bring it under control while adhering to free-market principles.

Really? Undeniable huh? Only to Al Gore and his disciples.

This man is a loon. We just came out of an incredibly cold April and he is talking like this? You cannot have “free market” solutions as McCain suggests to a bogus claim (i.e. man made Global Warming). This is like saying you believe in free market solutions to the collapsing universe.

John, you can keep saying over and over again that the grass is purple but it doesn’t make it true!

I shutter to think what is going to happen when these enviro-retards like McCain figure out that water vapor is a much worse greenhouse gas than CO2. We’ll have to cap every lake, river, ocean and stream to prevent them from emitting their lethal pollutants into our atmosphere.

But don’t bother them with facts – they just get in the way of a good story.

Al Gore Exploits Deaths For His Own Gain

Al Gore is showing himself to be your typical liberal more and more as each day passes. His latest is to blame the Myammar Cyclone and the estimated 50,000 deaths on Global Warming. Tasteless doesn’t even work to describe this man any more. Diabolical is much more apt at this point:

“And as we’re talking today, Terry, the death count in Myanmar from the cyclone that hit there yesterday has been rising from 15,000 to way on up there to much higher numbers now being speculated,” Gore said. “And last year a catastrophic storm from last fall hit Bangladesh. The year before, the strongest cyclone in more than 50 years hit China – and we’re seeing consequences that scientists have long predicted might be associated with continued global warming.”

The problem is that really only Al Gore is the only person out there making such claims beyond a few other nutjobs that have a stake in promoting the doomsday effects of a non-existent threat. There is even data showing that the Earth has cooled recently which really isn’t in line with the whole “Global Warming” theme now is it?

But as we have learned from history about liberals is that if they cannot kill people to further their agenda they will certainly exploit the deaths that do occur and make any claim they can to try to link them to their pet causes. Causes, mind you, that always result in the loss of liberty. Just don’t forget to invest your money in their companies so that they can continue to partake of theirs.

Remember tell the “Big Lie” often enough and people will believe it. That strategy has worked for liberals for over a century.

Attention: Anchorage Gets Record Snowfall Despite Global Warming?

Maybe Al Gore will just have Anchorage expunged off the face of the Earth so that he doesn’t have to deal with this one:

Anchorage continues to dig out from a snowfall that set a record for the day and the month. The National Weather Service says 17.2 inches fell at its office just south of Anchorage’s international airport and 22 inches fell in northeast Anchorage on Friday and Saturday.
The heaviest snow fell between 3 and 6 p.m. Friday at a rate of almost two inches per hour.

But the polar bears are supposed to be drowning!

Global Warming Keeps Idaho Ski Resort … Uh … Open?

I know. Sounds odd doesn’t it? I mean, after all, one would think Global Warming would do the exact opposite right?

Well … it probably would … if it were a real event. But its not, so instead we have the Brundage Mountain Resort staying open into May. This is, by the way, the first time the resort has been able to offer full service this late in the season.

Al Gore, call your office! There are non-believers out here spreading the TRUTH! And we know that the Church of Al can’t handle the truth!

Al Gore’s Lies Continue To Add Up

Noel Sheppard at NewsBusters reports that Al Gore has been caught, once again, fabricating parts of his film – An Inconvenient Truth.

It goes without saying that climate realists around the world believe Nobel Laureate Al Gore used false information throughout his schlockumentary “An Inconvenient Truth” in order to generate global warming hysteria.

On Friday, it was revealed by ABC News that one of the famous shots of supposed Antarctic ice shelves in the film was actually a computer-generated image from the 2004 science fiction blockbuster “The Day After Tomorrow.”

AL GORE (FORMER UNITED STATES VICE PRESIDENT)
And if you were flying over it in a helicopter, you’d see it’s 700 feet tall. They are so majestic.

SAM CHAMPION (ABC NEWS)
(Voiceover) Wait a minute, that shot looks just like the one in the opening credits of “The Day After Tomorrow.”

KAREN GOULEKAS (VISUAL EFFECTS SUPERVISOR)
Yeah, that’s, that’s our shot. That’s a fully computer generated shot. There’s nothing real in there.

Once again, people who aren’t members of Al Gore’s alarmist Doomsday Sect are left asking the question of whether or not there is actually anything, anything at all that is factual in the movie.

God Sends Message To Eco-Alarmists

Ah yes, who doesn’t want to save and preserve the Earth right? So the modern day Marxist movement founded “Earth Day” to promote what they claimed was caring about the Earth. But as the years have dragged on we have seen that Earth Day was really a way to start the ball rolling on bigger government and regulation to control exactly how you act – all in the name of “saving” the planet of course.

The dirty little secret is that the Earth is fine. It isn’t going anywhere, much to the chagrin of Eco-Alarmists who have taken up Global Warming/Climate Change as their latest cause celeb. And just for good measure God keeps reminding these self-righteous do-gooders just how insignificant they are:

So much for global warming. Earth Day festivities went ahead despite the blast of frigid weather yesterday.

Vendors and presenters from various eco-friendly groups, including Bullfrog Power, CO2 Reduction Edmonton and the local solar energy society, crammed into a lone tent in Hawrelak Park after a blizzard forced them to abandon their original locations.

Organizers crammed over 40 groups in a space that would normally be occupied by half that number. Presenters’ booths were initially planned to have been spread out between at least five tents, with far larger displays.

Gee, uh … late snow … so much for Global Warming!

Green Politicization of Iwo Jima Photo Condemned by Black Veteran

Washington, D.C. - Kevin L. Martin, a member of the Project 21 black leadership network and a U.S. Navy veteran, is joining fellow veterans in denouncing the Earth Day-related cover art on the April 21 issue of Time magazine.

Time altered the famous flag-raising photo from Iwo Jima is altered to show Marines raising a tree rather than the American flag to highlight an article promoting activism favoring increased regulation to fight perceived man-made global warming.

“For Time to compare the politically-driven hoax about the severity of man-made global warming to one of most pivotal moments in American history is a slap in the face to the brave men who fought their way up Iwo Jima’s Mount Suribachi to plant our flag and send a clear message that victory in the long war in the Pacific was achievable,” said Martin. “To callously use a famous military image so important to our nation’s veterans with seemingly no concern for its impact on them shows just how far those promoters of this hoax will go.”

In describing the reasoning behind politicizing Joe Rosenthal’s Pulitzer Prize-winning photo, Time managing editor Richard Stengel told MSNBC host Joe Scarborough: “We wanted to do something that was prescriptive… And by using that famous Iwo Jima image and saying basically what we have to do is what we did before World War II by creating a great national effort, national endeavor, to combat this problem. Using cap-and-trade policy and using new research into renewable energy and having an efficiency surge with energy all across the country.”

A proposal under debate in the Senate would create a “cap-and-trade” policy designed to limit emissions of greenhouse gases. Reducing energy use by U.S. manufacturers will have a braking effect on jobs and income.

Commenting on the Time cover, Iwo Jima veteran Donald Mates told the Business and Media Institute: “The Second World War we knew was there. Some say there is global warming, some say there isn’t. And to stick a tree in place of a flag on the Iwo Jima picture is just sacrilegious.” John Keith Wells, the Marine lieutenant who led the platoon that scaled Mount Suribaci and raised the American flag, opined: “That global warming in the biggest joke I’ve ever known.”

“It is a shame that Time magazine is belittling the heroism of our World War II veterans to push for policies that may bring back unhappy homefront memories of that era such as food and energy rationing,” added Project 21’s Martin. “There has yet to be a real scientific debate on the contributions of man to any sort of global warming. The crusade by environmental activists and the willing complicity of media such as Time magazine is resulting in misguided policies. Reducing of production and exploration in the short run is going to raise prices and limit access to resources, while risky long-term schemes such as biofuels will pit stomachs against gas tanks. Is it also lost on Time that the war in the Pacific was based in part on access to energy resources?”

Manmade Global Warming At Work?

If you are a die hard believer in manmade global warming you might not want to read this:

All that April snow this weekend was more than surprising — it was also record-setting.

The flakes that fell across the Vancouver region Friday night and Saturday represent the latest snowfall ever on record.

Don’t worry, I’m sure such events are all predicted by some flawed model Al Gore keeps in his back pocket

Al Gore Ministries Continues Indoctrination

Al Gore is still at it, now planning a sequal to An Inconvienent Truth.  We can only hope that this movie will actually have a few facts in it and not be a total work of fiction.  Don’t hold your breath though.

AL GORE wants to make a sequel to his Oscar-winning documentary on global warming – and despite Earth’s “rising fever” he is still hopeful for a happy ending.

We are, he says, all players in deciding the outcome.

Despite the success of his film An Inconvenient Truth and last year’s Live Earth concerts in raising awareness, the former US Vice President believes little has changed where it counts and the situation is even more urgent.

And he warns that while individual efforts such as changing to low-energy lightbulbs are important, it is more significant for world leaders to change laws to stop pollution pouring into the atmosphere and affecting the climate.

In an exclusive interview with The Sun, Mr Gore – hailed as the world’s leading green campaigner – said recent polls had found that while people rate climate change as a “serious problem”, some ranked it lower than clearing up dog mess.

“When politicians walk down the pavement, four or five of every ten people they meet ask, ‘What are you doing to solve the climate crisis?’ he said. “If you ask people their opinion, more than two thirds will say, ‘It’s a very serious issue, we’re responsible for it. We need to take action’.

“But then if you give them a list of 25 or 30 issues and ask them to rank them in order of seriousness, climate change comes at the bottom or near the bottom.

Well gee then Al, it doesn’t seem like it would be that big of an issue then!  So how do you do from antidoctal evidence about how many people are asking politicians what they are doing about it to the at least more scientific data in a poll about where people rank the issue?

I’m sure we’ll see a nice slide in Al’s squel to explain this.   Will have him in a wizard hat waving a magic wand?
Then maybe there will be a picture of the Underpants Gnomes from South Park who are famous for their three step plan of
  1. Collect underpants
  2.  ?
  3. Profit

where, phase two doesn’t really exist.  Except in this case it will be a slide of:

Phase 1: Convince people that Global Warming is manmade and we must do something now.

Phase 2: ??????

Phase 3: WORLD DOMINATION!

Parody Ad Takes Up Cause of Ringed Seals, Says Polar Bear Populations are Prosperous and Growing

Listing the Polar Bear as “Threatened” Under the ESA Could Harm Bears and Humans Alike; Says New Study Released with the Ad

Washington, D.C. - In light of environmentalist campaigns pressuring the Administration to list the polar bear as “threatened” under the Endangered Species Act, the National Center for Public Policy Research, joined by Citizens United, has released for the Internet a lighthearted parody political ad to remind the public that the polar bears’ situation isn’t as dire as some environmental organizations are leading the public to believe.

The ad, a parody of the wild charges and breathless style of many political campaign ads, lets the public know what is not always clear from environmentalist lobbying campaigns: The global population of polar bears is 22,000, about double what it was just four decades ago.

“Many people will be surprised to learn there are 22,000 polar bears and their population has doubled,” said David Ridenour, vice president of the National Center for Public Policy Research. “While obviously many aspects of our parody ad - such as the polar bears in suits, lobbying Congress - are complete fiction, the steady growth in the global polar bear population is real. We hope that people who view our parody ad seeking a laugh will remember that fact, and perhaps be inspired to look a little more deeply into the basis of environmentalist claims regarding the polar bear.”

The ad is being released in conjunction with a National Center for Public Policy Research policy paper, “Listing the Polar Bear Under the Endangered Species Act Because of Projected Future Global Warming Could Harm Bears and Humans Alike,” by Peyton Knight and Amy Ridenour.

The paper questions the wisdom of listing the polar bear as threatened based on environmentalist organizations’ projections of future global warming because:

* Listing the polar bear could have adverse affects on bear conservation efforts.

* Global polar bear population levels presently are healthy.

* The anthropogenic (human-caused) global warming theory remains only a theory, and climate science is in its infancy. Even those who agree with the global warming theory disagree about the extent of its projected effects.

* Listing the polar bear as threatened on the basis of projected future global warming would most likely be extremely expensive to the U.S. economy.

* Listing the polar bear based on projected global warming can be expected to greatly expand federal regulatory powers under the ESA.

* Because of its great expense and controversial nature, federal policies regarding global warming should be made only by Congress with input from the Executive Branch, not by a presidential appointee charged with enforcing a 1973 law written for other purposes.

“Having failed despite spending tens of millions of dollars to convince the public, or even a Democratic Congress, that drastic and very expensive greenhouse gas emission reductions are warranted to deter theorized global warming, environmental organizations are now hijacking the Endangered Species Act to do an end-run around our democratic institutions,” said Amy Ridenour, president of the National Center for Public Policy Research and co-author of the paper. “The formal petition to the government seeking ‘threatened’ status for the polar bear makes it very clear: The environmental groups behind this scheme are trying to use the polar bear to force the government to impose a — in their words — ‘drastic’ reduction in greenhouse gas emissions. They want policies like those in the Kyoto global warming treaty forced upon Congress and the American public. The tragedy is that, if the environmentalists succeed, Americans — especially lower-income Americans — will be harmed, and so will the polar bears.”

“Listing the polar bear under the Endangered Species Act could harm bear conservation efforts by eliminating revenues from the carefully-regulated sport hunting of polar bears by Americans and the importation of polar bear meat and trophies into the U.S. As hunting by non-Americans would replace hunting by Americans, nothing would be accomplished in terms of reducing the number of polar bears killed, but the revenue currently generated by American sport hunters for conservation and research efforts would be eliminated,” added Amy Ridenour. “And what’s more, global warming — if the global warming theory turns out to be accurate — would still occur, because greenhouse gas emissions in China, India, Europe and elsewhere are still growing by leaps and bounds.”

The parody ad and policy paper can be viewed on the National Center’s website at www.nationalcenter.org/PolarBear.html.
