Left wingers all around the world never like to be called left wingers. Hugo Chavez is a prime example. Even though he proudly promotes fascist socialism, he goes to extreme lengths to trash other people as fascists:
CARACAS (Reuters) - Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez on Sunday almost told German Chancellor Angela Merkel to go to hell, but stopped short of insulting the woman leader on Mother’s Day.
Instead he called her a political descendant of Adolf Hitler and German fascism.
“Ms. Chancellor, you can go to …,” he said, pausing for effect and eliciting giggles from the audience, a group of military officers, cabinet ministers and government officials. “Because she’s a woman I won’t say anything else.”
Ok, yeah Germany has some socialist tendencies but for Hugo Chavez to continually project his own beliefs on others is humorous. This is a man that has nationalized industry, confiscated private property, is a de facto dictator, promotes a Venezuela against the world mentality and shuts down television stations that disagree with him.
For reference fascism is defined as: “a political philosophy, movement, or regime (as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual” … check … “and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader,” … check … “severe economic and social regimentation,” … check … “and forcible suppression of opposition” … and check!
Hugo, look in the mirror. You sir area a fascist.
Tyrants In Myanmar Seize Aid
Much to the surprise of the United Nations, who never seem to get it through their thick skulls that tyrants are bad people, the ruling junta of Myanmar has seized the aid shipments that had begun to be let in to help victims of the cyclone last week.
Ok, beyond the fact that a lot of that aid was paid for by U.S. citizens after having their wealth confiscated by the federal government above and beyond constitutional authority, this really annoys me. The United Nations, after all these years, hasn’t figured out by now that tyrants act this way?
ANGON, Myanmar (AP) - Myanmar’s junta seized U.N. aid shipments headed for hungry and homeless survivors of last week’s devastating cyclone, prompting the world body to suspend further help on Friday.
The U.N. said the aid included 38 tons of high-energy biscuits and arrived in Myanmar on Friday on two flights from Bangladesh and the United Arab Emirates.
“All of the food aid and equipment that we managed to get in has been confiscated,” U.N. World Food Program spokesman Paul Risley said. “For the time being, we have no choice but to end further efforts to bring critical needed food aid into Myanmar at this time.”
Myanmar’s government acknowledged taking control of the shipments and said it plans to distribute the aid “without delay by its own labor to the affected areas.”
Ok, so there are two likely scenarios here. First is that the junta is going to keep the aid for themselves which really would not be that surprising. Second is that they know they cannot afford to have it even appear that they cannot provide for their own people. Think about how embarrassed they would be to have to admit that they need help and that it was nations like the United States that were in fact capable of handling the situation.
Heck, they certainly cannot have that. So they will confiscate the food and made it look like they are the saviors. Ah yes – tyrants.
You too America could have your very own one of these come election day. America, you can have someone that will take from you, fiddle with it and then give it back after they have extracted their cut. The choice is yours.
What? Another Misleading Headline!
“White House admits fault on ‘Mission Accomplished’ banner” reads the headline from Breitbart.com. The problem is that it isn’t true at least not based on the information in the article.
Paragraph 1:
WASHINGTON (AP) - The White House said Wednesday that President Bush has paid a price for the “Mission Accomplished” banner that was flown in triumph five years ago but later became a symbol of U.S. misjudgments and mistakes in the long and costly war in Iraq.
Nope, no admission of fault there.
Paragraphs 2 & 3:
Thursday is the fifth anniversary of Bush’s dramatic landing in a Navy jet on an aircraft carrier homebound from the war. The USS Abraham Lincoln had launched thousands of airstrikes on Iraq.
“Major combat operations in Iraq have ended,” Bush said at the time. “The battle of Iraq is one victory in a war on terror that began on Sept. 11, 2001, and still goes on.” The “Mission Accomplished” banner was prominently displayed above him—a move the White House came to regret as the display was mocked and became a source of controversy.
Nope, still not such admission given here.
Paragraph 4:
After shifting explanations, the White House eventually said the “Mission Accomplished” phrase referred to the carrier’s crew completing its 10-month mission, not the military completing its mission in Iraq. Bush, in October 2003, disavowed any connection with the “Mission Accomplished” message. He said the White House had nothing to do with the banner; a spokesman later said the ship’s crew asked for the sign and the White House staff had it made by a private vendor.
Still no admission there. In fact it restates the original claim that it was the ship’s crew that requested the banner.
Paragraph 5:
“President Bush is well aware that the banner should have been much more specific and said `mission accomplished’ for these sailors who are on this ship on their mission,” White House press secretary Dana Perino said Wednesday. “And we have certainly paid a price for not being more specific on that banner. And I recognize that the media is going to play this up again tomorrow, as they do every single year.”
Nope, still no such admission.
Paragraphs 6 & 7:
She said what is important now is “how the president would describe the fight today. It’s been a very tough month in Iraq, but we are taking the fight to the enemy.”
At least 49 U.S. troops died in Iraq in April, making it the deadliest month since September when 65 U.S. troops died.
Gee, still waiting for this “admission” … maybe we’ll find it in the last two paragraphs of the story:
Now in its sixth year, the war in Iraq has claimed the lives of at least 4,061 members of the U.S. military. Only the Vietnam War (August 1964 to January 1973), the war in Afghanistan (October 2001 to present) and the Revolutionary War (July 1776 to April 1783) have engaged America longer.
Bush, in a speech earlier this month, said that “while this war is difficult, it is not endless.”
Wait … no admission there either. So where the heck is it and how the heck did the headline writer come up with such a claim?
SAUDI ARABIA: WOMEN IMPRISONED, RAPED
There is a Muslim website against Muslim atrocities. It is “Muslims Against Sharia, the Islamic Reform Movement.” The site is at http://muslimsagainstsharia.blogspot.com/
A recent post releases newsfeeds from the Australian Islamic Monitor that reports Saudi Arabia officials informing media that it’s Allah’s will when female mistreatment occurs. The site responds to specific reports that female housemaids are imprisoned and raped, even murdered, others giving birth to children in prison.
There are claims that housemaids often are deprived of their full wages, sometimes receiving no salaries at all. One apologist for the women presented such cases to the Saudi authorities. The case focused particularly on a woman who was tortured to death by her employer.
The official told the apologist that “it was the will of Allah, with no apology given.”
Another website, The Religious Policeman, is subtitled “The diary of a Saudi man, currently living in the United Kingdom, where the Religious Police no longer trouble him for the moment.”
There he reports precise detail concerning such atrocities of Muslims against Muslims. The webmaster states that his reportage gives the “full spectrum of institutionalized insanity that the House of Saud and their friends with long beards have created.”
These crimes are going on in other Muslims confines. One eye witness reports: “During a visit to the Indonesian embassy in Riyadh some years ago, I overheard a woman complain about her enslavement by her employer. I asked an embassy staff member about it and he said that similar cases were quite common.
“How many, however, don’t have any chance to report their cases? There must be plenty, because there are hundreds of thousands Indonesian female workers in Saudi. The embassy has a place for the runaway women who cannot stand enslavement any more.
“They risk their lives by being alone outside because many wannabe rapists can be found easily among these sex crazed Islamic believers. The luckiest can escape and reach the embassy and meet with the good guys.
“The not so lucky women are picked on by the police and sent to jail where they may stay behind bars for years without any trial. Some prisons are full of these women. The most unlucky women are raped, robbed and killed by bandits. Or, sold to brothels to become sex slaves (yes, there are brothels in Saudi, in Mekkah too).

Hillary Demands President Bush Fix Her Husband’s Mess?
Hillary Clinton is a political panderer at heart. When she isn’t telling all out lies, she is telling half truths like a good little Marxist and trying to always heap the blame for everything on her political opposition:

And it’s a story with a dramatic, political ending. Republican President George W. Bush could have stopped it, but didn’t.
If she were president, she says, she’d fight to protect those jobs. It’s just the kind of talk that’s helping her win support form working-class Democrats worried about jobs and paychecks, not to mention their country’s security.
What Clinton never tells in the oft-repeated tale is the role prominent Democrats played in selling the company and its technology to the Chinese. She never mentions that big-time Democratic contributor George Soros helped put together the deal to sell the company, or that the sale was approved by the administration of her husband. “Hillary Clinton must have been hoping we Hoosiers have short memories,” Ed Dixon of Valparaiso said in a letter to a local newspaper after a recent Clinton visit. “Her husband was president at the time and allowed this to happen.”
So she was unable to fight for those jobs when her husband was in the White House with his pants around his ankles letting little Willie sniff our interns but now we are supposed to believe that she would? And what is with her pathological obsession with blaming George Bush for everything?
I know most Americans have yet to piece together the whole Clinton-Chicom connection but for her to bring it up and expose it to analysis – again – it can only hurt her and reestablish just how awful the Clinton administration was with selling secrets and out country out to the Chinese.
Commies Continue To Show Themselves For Who They Are
Taking a cue from their fellow travelers here in the United States (the ACLU et al), a pair of Chinese Communists are attempting to sue CNN over remarks made by Jack Caffery when he made the accurate statement that China imported “junk with the lead paint on them and the poisoned dog food.” Both statement are true. China has indeed been importing goods with lead paint and also poisoned dog food and, being an communist nation where companies are controlled and regulated by the government, means the Chinese government certainly bears some culpability.
But that hasn’t stopped Liang Shubing and Li Lilan from filing suit for $1.3 Billion ($1 per person in China).
Their claim? That the remarks caused them “mental harm”. HEY! CHICOMS! GET OVER IT! If you can’t handle the truth vacate the planet!
CNN should respond by suing the Chicoms for $1 for every person they have had a hand in murdering including every baby that has been aborted or died because of abandonment under their population control programs. Those are actual crimes! Plus, I think they should be sued for $1,000,000 for each and every American soldier they helped to kill during the Vietnam War and their support for North Vietnam.
Yeah … put that in you commie pipe and smoke it.
Hamas Says Carter’s Visit A Failure
Well, straight from the horse’s mouth comes this admission that Jimmy Carter’s visit was a waste of time. Another account:
Last week’s meeting between former US president Jimmy Carter and the exiled leader of Hamas militants did not produce any results, Palestinian foreign minister Riyad al-Malki said here Wednesday.
“President Carter came to the region thinking he could achieve something. Unfortunately president Carter left without anything concrete,” he told a conference in the Spanish capital.
“The only thing he achieved was permission on the part of Khaled Meshaal of Hamas to deliver a letter from a detained Israeli soldier to his family. Nothing else,” he said.
“Hamas offered nothing to president Carter. They reiterated the same positions. There was no change on the part of Hamas,” Malki added.
But to hear Mr. Peanut tell it he has just negotiated peace in our time. Whatever Jimmy is smoking must really be some good stuff!
I know I’ll be recieving emails for months from moonbats talking about how Carter brought peace to the Middle East regardless of the facts.
Carter Duped Again!

The Democratic former president spoke in Jerusalem after meeting last week with top Hamas leader, Khaled Mashaal, and his deputy in Syria. It capped a nine-day visit to the Mideast aimed at breaking the deadlock between Israel and Hamas militants who rule the Gaza Strip.
In Damascus, Mashaal said Hamas was offering Israel a 10-year truce if it withdraws from all lands it seized in the 1967 war.
He confirmed that Hamas would be satisfied with a Palestinian state on the 1967 borders—implicitly accepting that Israel would exist alongside that state. But Mashaal stressed the group would never outright recognize the Jewish state.
Ok so Hamas wants a “do-over”? Hey you guys LOST! What often happens when you lose a war is that … see … loose land. Got it?
But that’s not all! Hamas contradicts Carter!
“We agree to a (Palestinian) state on pre-67 borders, with Jerusalem as its capital with genuine sovereignty without settlements but without recognizing Israel,” Mashaal told reporters.
“They (Hamas) said that they would accept a Palestinian state on the 1967 borders, if approved by Palestinians and that they would accept the right of Israel to live as a neighbor next door in peace,” Carter said.
Wait, so Carter said that they want to live in peace with Israel but Hama says they will not recognize Israel. So which is it you doddering old fool!

Ahmadinejad The 9/11 Troofer
Ah yes, good old Mahmoud Ineedajihad is at it again. And he is casting his lot with the 9/11 Troofer movement.

Although Iran has condemned the 2001 al-Qaida attacks on New York and Washington in the past, this was the third time in a week that Ahmadinejad questioned the death toll, who was behind the attacks and how it happened.“Four or five years ago, a suspicious event occurred in New York. A building collapsed and they said that 3,000 people had been killed but never published their names,” Ahmadinejad told Iranians in the holy city of Qom.
Yeah, this ranks right up there with the buildings could only have been brought down by controlled demolition (an idiotic fallacy) and there was no plane debris at the Pentagon (another idiotic fallacy). To even say that the names of the people killed at the World Trade Center have never been published is the height of idiocy that only a moonbat like Ahmadinejad could believe.

China’s Hypersensitivity To The Truth
China wanted the Olympics. But they don’t want the world to focus on anything about China other than the fact that they are hosting the Olympics. Under withering criticism from the world over its policies, China is slapping back and whining like a good little bunch of liberals:

Earlier this week, the state Xinhua news agency called House Speaker Nancy Pelosi “disgusting.” And on Tuesday, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Jiang Yu lambasted a CNN commentator, Jack Cafferty, for his “vicious” commentary on China.
“We solemnly request that CNN, and Cafferty himself, take back the malicious remarks and apologize to the Chinese people,” Jiang said at a news briefing.
Protests plaguing a global Olympic torch relay, along with mounting criticism of China’s handling of domestic unrest by Tibetans, have embittered many Chinese. As foreign leaders discuss whether to boycott Olympic opening ceremonies Aug. 8, Chinese internet sites are replete with their own mounting calls for boycotts — of foreign goods.
