The brother of Thomas Donald Mattner has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to participate in a memorial ride and ceremony to honor Tom’s service to our nation Saturday, May 3, 2014. A memorial ride from River Vale, New Jersey to Dingmans Ferry, Pennsylvania, will be followed by a memorial ceremony and plaque presentation.
A six year Marine veteran in the 70′s, Tom continued his service with three years in the National Guard. Following separation, he embarked on a 22 year career as a policeman with the River Vale NJ Police Department. When he moved to Pennsylvania, Tom served with the Dingmans Ferry Fire Department as a fire police. Tom’s brother, Jeff Mattner, is an Illinois PGR member and has requested our presence. Tom Mattner is a HERO who served our country with honor and now it’s our turn to stand and honor him.
