How Does A Marine Cause A Heart Attack?
Carl | January 29, 2014
(This is from way back when, we were bringing Holly home for a few days after she completed her MOS training.)
So, how does a United States Marine induce heart failure in her parents?
Well, if you are Cpl Holly Andrews, it’s simple.
You do a little thing called Planking.
For those of you who remember when telephones had wires attached to them, allow me to explain.
Planking consists of lying down in what is essentially a position of attention on top of an unusual object or in a odd or dangerous place.
Holly managed to combine all of those.
The thing she is laying on top of is an anchor chain, and that small puddle less than a foot away is Lake Erie!!
Not being satisfied with taking a few years off of our lives, she talked Sue and I into trying it.
You will take notice that we picked a more age-appropriate location.
Once was enough for Sue, but I just had to try it one more time.
It wouldn’t surprise me if the next time she’s home on leave that she wanted us to go sightseeing in New York City.
On pogo sticks.
