Woody Allen’s Bloody Hands and Bloodied Children
Gene Lalor | October 5, 2013
Seventy seven year old Allan Stewart Konigsberg, aka Woody Allen, the acclaimed American screenwriter, director, actor, comedian, author, playwright, and musician has a great deal in common with the 80 year old Rajmund Roman Thierry Polanski, aka Roman Polanski, the acclaimed Polish/French director, actor, producer, and writer.
The chief distinction between them is that Polanski is a convicted pedophile still on the loose and Allen merely abused “his” child and seduced Mia Farrow’s 19 year old adopted daughter, his stepdaughter Soon-Yi Previn, when he was 56, took nude photographs of her, and is still bragging about his sick conquest.
Allen’s history of “romantic involvements” with underaged girls such as 17 year old high school student Stacey Nelkin as well as his years of psychotherapy should have been a tip-off to Farrow that he had a screw loose somewhere before she began a twelve year unmarried relationship, but they didn’t. During those years, they adopted Dylan Farrow (aka Eliza, aka Malone) and Moshe Farrow (aka Moses) and allegedly conceived a biological child, Satchel Farrow (aka Ronan Seamus Farrow).
Celebs and their issue seem to like “aka’s.”
Allen didn’t legally adopt Soon-Yi Farrow Previn and following their split in 1992, after he admitted his incestuous relationship with Soon-Yi and after Farrow discovered nude photographs Allen had taken of her, Farrow and Allen split–but not before an ugly, drawn out, public custody battle. Farrow alleged Allen had sexually molested 7 year old Dylan and won full custody of their children. Allen was denied visitation rights with Dylan/Eliza/Malone, was allowed to see Ronan only under court supervision, and Moses chose not to see Allen at all.
Enter Woody Allen’s “children” and his bloody hands.
In a 20-year follow-up after Vanity Fair’s Maureen Orth report on that incestuous abuse case, Orth queried Farrow on her human-rights activities, her relationship with Frank Sinatra, life at home with her 14 adopted and biological children, and the incest scandal that nearly destroyed her family. Orth spoke to eight of Farrow’s children, including Dylan/Eliza/Malone, who gave her first public comments on her sexual molestation by the man who called himself her father.
The revelations in Orth’s interviews of Mia Farrow discussing her relationship with Frank Sinatra, saying Sinatra was the great love of her life, and admitting, “We never really split up” are going viral whereas the truth that Woody Allen “got some blood on his hands” has been given short shrift.
When Orth asked Farrow whether Allen’s alleged biological son, Ronan Seamus Farrow, may really be Frank Sinatra’s son, she responded,“Possibly,” a response equivalent to ”Who cares?” Orth also asked Nancy Sinatra about Ronan’s being treated as if he were a member of the Sinatra clan, Sinatra cryptically answered in an e-mail, “He is a big part of us, and we are blessed to have him in our lives.”
Frankly, who cares whether Sinatra or Allen impregnated Mia Farrow 20 years ago! Shouldn’t our focus and concern be on her kids and the damages Woody Allen inflicted on them? Shouldn’t we be focusing more on the fact Hollywood still regards Allen as one of its icons in spite of his serial, sexual molestation of a seven year old child?
Dylan, who now refuses to even say Allen’s name, observed: “There’s a lot I don’t remember, but what happened in the attic I remember. I remember what I was wearing and what I wasn’t wearing. The things making me uncomfortable were making me think I was a bad kid, because I didn’t want to do what my elder [Woody Allen] told me to do. . . I was seven. I was doing it because I was scared. I wanted it to stop.” She believed “This was how fathers treated their daughters. This was normal interaction, and I was not normal for feeling uncomfortable about it.”
The ever-persistent, incredibly ballsy Allen subsequently contacted her twice by mail. The second time occurred during Dylan’s senior year in college. A stuffed manila envelope arrived, filled with pictures of him and Dylan, with a phony return address, and a letter which read, “I thought you’d want some pictures of us, and I want you to know that I still think of you as my daughter, and my daughters think of you as their sister. Soon-Yi misses you.”
The letter was signed, “Your father.”
Dylan understandably wondered, “How do your daughters think of me as their sister? How does that work?”
Farrow’s son Fletcher Previn has obliterated Allen from every family photo and edited him out of every family video. His reasoning: “We can look at them [now] and be reminded of the good and not be reminded of the bad.” Regarding his family’s reaction to the Soon-Yi scandal, he and his many siblings “thought of [Allen] as another dad. It can disrupt your foundation in the world. . . . There were casualties, who were totally derailed. It had a different impact on everyone, but everyone had a reaction.”
Fletcher cited his sister Lark Previn, the Vietnamese-born adopted daughter of Farrow and Previn and mother of two girls. She died on Christmas Day, 2008 at 35 apparently from a tattooist’s AIDS-infected needle. Fletcher added, “I really do think he’s [Woody Allen] got some blood on his hands.” (http://tinyurl.com/pbt3qrv)
