State-wide’s: ANC Mission Confirmed – Ruby O. Tireman, 86, Korean War Veteran of Rock Hill, SC, ANC 17 Jun 13

SGT Ruby Oxendine Tireman, 86, from Rock Hill, SC, died 7 December 2012. A US Marine Corp Veteran of the Korean War, SGT Tireman served this Nation proudly from December 1949 through April of 1952. Upon her discharge she became a school teacher working with handicapped children and later retired. She continued to show her support for our military by being a member of the Marine Corp League and the DAV. She is survived by a loving family. Her son, a proud member of the Georgia PGR invited us to attend.

SGT Ruby O. Tireman is to be interred on the hallowed grounds of Arlington National Cemetery on 17 June 2013 at approximately 0900 hours from the Administration Building. PGR has been invited to attend the services, and we will be there to stand tall silent and proud in honor of this American Hero, her family, friends and comrades at arms.

Stage: 0745 hrs. IWO Jima War Memorial, Arlington, VA
Brief: 0800 hrs.
Transit: 0815 hrs. Transit to Administration Building
Honors: 0810 hrs. Graveside ANC (Time Approx.)

Ride Captain: Bill Johnston

Iron Horses preferred, cars welcomed as always.
Mounted large flags preferred for the transit (furl upon ANC parking).
Military mandated ID / gear NOT required for this mission,
Dress & hydrate accordingly.
