Brit Twit Piers

“In life you need either inspiration or desperation.” (Tony Robbins)
Lacking a shred of inspiration, Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (Piers Morgan), the replacement flop for CNN’s previous flop Lawrence Leibel Harvey Zeiger (Larry King), has been in a ratings freefall ever since he took over for Softball Larry two years ago. Knowing his CNN days are almost as limited as Soledad O’Brien’s, Piers isn’t quite as insipid as King and tries to compensate for his lack of inspiration with desperate viewpoints proving the truth of Thoreau’s observation that “What is called resignation is confirmed desperation.”Â
Of course, Ted Turner’s Cable News Network itself has been on the ratings ropes ever since the Fox News Channel demonstrated that the public preferred fair and balanced news rather than the liberal distortions on CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, and NBC et al. but, even so “Piers Morgan Tonight” has set all new records for viewer disdain.Â
Seriously, since “Piers Morgan Tonight” wallows at the bottom of the cable ratings heap and has now been beaten by Logo TV’s “RuPaul’s Drag Race” by 20,000 viewers, can Piers’ television oblivion be far behind? He may think that some day he will beat Bill O’Reilly but that will only happen if he can climb out of his loo.
Known for his rudeness and various feuds across the pond, for his involvement in the Brit phone hacking scandal, for banning guests he didn’t like, for being the object of a massive petition to have him deported, and for Thursday’s *ss-sucking exchange with Chelsea Handler, Piers Morgan is easily the worst thing out of England since the tax on tea.Â
An avid gun-phobic Twitterer, the twice-married, 47 year old Morgan recently tweeted ”One day you’re the cock of the walk, the next a feather duster” and such gems as “If more guns make America safer, as
@NRA claims, how come it has the most guns AND most gun crime of any developed country in the world?” “I think I need to go to Texas and discuss guns with people there,” and “I want to see Wayne LaPierre now look Gabby Giffords in the eye–and tell her the ONLY answer to America’s gun violence is MORE guns.” (https://twitter.com/piersmorgan)
Using CAPS must give Morgan the illusion that he is worth being heard as does spouting outright falsehoods and twisted points of view.
–CNN’s British import is delusional in thinking he was ever “the cock of the walk” (a Brit expression for a guy who feels he is more important than other people) and comparing himself to a “feather duster” is an insult to feather dusters.
–As for discussing guns with Texans, he should be prepared to show he understands how firearms work and that they save lives far more often than they end them.
–And he should be aware that his hero’s adopted hometown sports extremely stringent gun laws yet Chicago is suffering through never-before-seen levels of gun violence and gun crime over the last year, on schedule to rack up more homicides than the total number of U.S. troop killings in Afghanistan in 2012 with more than 500 murders. Gun-controlled Chicago has already had 40 murders in 2013 including the murder of Hadiya Pendleton, a 15-year-old girl who attended her president’s inauguration.
Would the British feather duster look Gabby Giffords in the eye and tell her the ONLY answer to America’s gun violence is Chicago-style prohibitions and tell the relatives of this year’s 40 Chicago victims that gun controls work?
Stefan Pughe-Morgan (Piers Morgan) is a typical left-wing moron who believes the dangerous, discredited myth that taking guns out of the hands of responsible gun-owners will result in fewer murders by deranged people who should have been institutionalized long before they had the chance to massacre others. We could ship him back to Great Britain if not for the fact the Brits don’t want him either.Â
