Only 1,461 Days to Go!

Gene Lalor | January 21, 2013

On Inauguration Day 2013, the DrudgeReport.com, via headlines alone, captured some of the essence of what’s wrong in America today:  the radically-undignified presidency, the failure of leadership, the decline in international prestige and respect, the stagnation of the economy, the subterfuges used to cover up scandals and lies, the unprecedented Democrat partisanship, the profligacy of the federal government, the racial divisiveness and violence sweeping the country.

Abe Lincoln in Person  Matt Drudge may have proven a variation on the wisdom attributed to a real president, Abraham Lincoln: “You can please some of the people all of the time, you can please all of the people some of the time, but you can only fool a sufficient number of the people long enough to get elected twice before the truth comes out.”

With 1,461 days remaining in President Barack Hussein Obama’s second term in office–assuming he doesn’t unconstitutionally pursue and win third, fourth, or more terms, as has been rumored–we can only hope and pray that there’s anything left of America in 2016.
