Female Marine Firsts

Master Sergeant Barbara J. Dulinsky was the first female Marine to serve in a combat zone.

In 1967, her request to be sent to Vietnam was granted and she served at the Military Assistance Command, Vietnam (MACV) Headquarters in Saigon.
