A Pre-born Baby Reaches Out to Touch Someone
Gene Lalor | January 3, 2013
In an extremely rare photo, pre-born baby Nevaeh (heaven spelled backwards) Atkins reached out from her mother’s womb and grasped the finger of the doctor delivering her during a C-section in a Phoenix hospital, amazing the doctor, the parents, and possibly Nevaeh herself.
As her father Randy Akins described the scene, “The doctor called me over and said, ‘Hey, she’s grabbing my finger.’ So I ran over there and just grabbed the shot and I was just in awe looking at it. It was such an amazing picture.”
Mother Alicia Atkins feared the public could regard the picture as “disgusting.” In fact, it’s beautiful, awesome, and amazing.Â

Now three or so months old, Nevaeh is thriving and probably reaching out to everyone and everything in sight. May she live a long and happy life!
