The Law Of Unintended Consequences Strikes Again
J.J. Jackson | September 6, 2012
Liberals just don’t get it. They don’t understand the law of unintended consequences. Of course, a study of their ideological history and the “solutions” they have proposed over the years clearly demonstrates this. But not to a liberal. They’re just too dim to get it.
The law of unintended consequences has been the bane of liberalism. It always jumps up to ruin their grand plans. Like karma, it’s a bitch.
Democrats were crowing about how great the DNC convention coming to Charlotte was going to be for everyone! Why, the residents of Charlotte were going to get a boon from the mere presence of liberals flooding in.
Yeah, well, tell that to Lakia Ramsey. See, Lakia Ramsey is “homeless”. Well, that’s not entirely true. She has a home. It is a $200 a week hotel room. Ok, don’t ask me how she manages to pay $800 a month for a hotel room, but can’t put together enough money to buy a more traditional “home”. $800 a month is more than my mortgage. I’m sure there is some sort of government assistance going on here, otherwise you can’t get me to beleive that Ms. Ramsey can’t afford a house of her own.
Anyway, it would be more correct to say that Ms. Ramsey had a “home”. See, when the DNC came to town the law of unintended consequences struck. Guests needed rooms and the law of supply and demand kicked in, pricing Ms. Ramsey out of her abode which was now renting for $150 a night.
So, not all Charlotte resdients benefited from the liberals coming to town. Some of them were actually kicked out of their “homes” because of it.
And here I thought liberals had compassion for the downtrodden? Yeah
