$5,790,739 To New York For Storms That Hit Last Year

The United States Department of Labor has announced that it is giving the State of New York a National Emergency Grant of $5,790,739 to help them clean up after Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee. Those storms hit the State in 2011.
“While much progress has been made, cleanup and recovery efforts continue in New York following the back-to-back hurricane and tropical storm,” said Secretary of Labor Hilda L. Solis. “This funding from the federal government will provide critical assistance to support the activities already underway in communities impacted by the two storms.”
What is going on here is not as Secretary Solis says however. This is just more money to pay off political debts from Washington DC to its supporters and going into a black hole used to pay government workers and make them seem useful. There is no way you can convince a person with an IQ over 80 that, after one year, the cleanup from two minor storms has not been completed. But then again, New York is home to a great many liberals who you couldn’t pry off their couches with a crowbar.
Why is the USDoL issuing this money? Don’t they have scores of welfare recipients and “unemployed” people whom the government is already paying money to? Why aren’t these people out there cleaning up this mess we are supposed to believe still exists and earning their “paychecks”?
Just more government waste my friends. And this is why we are $16 trillion in debt. Worse is that we will never get out of that hole sending millions of dollars off in political paybacks.
