When It Comes To Romney, Ryan, Obama, And Biden, Ryan IS The Smartest Guy In The Room

Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI), now Romney’s VP pick, somewhat understands the problems with big government.  His problem is that he doesn’t understand how exactly to tear down said big government.  The budget proposals bearing his name over the past few years, which give us deficits as far as the eyes can see, and which keep funding all sorts of unconstitutional things, are exhibit A in that argument.  I know many conservatives hate to hear it, but the truth is important to face.

But that doesn’t mean that Paul Ryan isn’t smart.  In fact, put him in a room with Mitt Romney, Vice-President Biden,  and President Obama, and he is, without a doubt, the smartest man in that room.  Exhibit A in that argument is his demolishing of Obamacare before President Obama:

The problem is, being the smartest man in a room full of politicians is not that great a feat.  Nor is making a blubbering Marxist like Obama look bad.

When he puts his mind to it, Rep. Ryan is very intelligent.  What he needs to do is put his mind to it more often.  That means telling liberals no rather than kowtowing to them and continuing to fund their pet projects.
