Military Dogs Also Benefit from Troopathon

Move America Forward | July 26, 2012

We  now have $390,057 raised for  our troops in Afghanistan to receive care  packages this Summer. That puts us almost over our goal of $400,000!

Only $9,943 separates  us from our big goal to make sure none of our troops get left out  this Summer!

TROOPATHON SPOTLIGHT : MILITARY WORKING DOGS

Last year Move America Forward introduced care packages for Military Working Dogs for the first time.

No other organization sends special packages with items intended for both the Military Dog AND the Handler, and so far the MWD program has been a huge success for MAF.

We have sent hundreds of special care packages with dog goggle,s boots for the dog’s paws, and rawhide bones and treats as well as staple goodies for the handlers like coffee, cookies, beef jerky and more.

We couldn’t pass up the opportunity to feature our Care Packages for Military Dogs program on this year’s Troopathon and to highlight the enthusiasm people have for these four-legged heroes serving over in Afghanistan with the troops.

We also had a special guest Kristie Dober, who came on Troopathon to talk specifically about Military Working Dogs and the great job they do in Afghanistan.

And don’t forget to make a donation for our troops!
