Idiots will never learn – the Second Amendment is a good thing!

Salman Rushdie is what one would call a classical moron. He’s got a lot of company too.
In the wake of the tragic shooting in Colorado where a self-centered, obvious liberal of some flavor, identified easily by his lack of care about other people’s right to life, shot up a theater full of people, Rusdie put is moronic streak on display. He tweeted, “The ‘right to bear arms’ is the real Bane of America.â€
Sigh. Here we go again!
Just like in the wake of the Virginia Tech shooting, the truth is on display clearly and the morons are too stupid to see it. Like at Virginia Tech, the problem was not the Second Amendment. The problem was not that there were not enough gun control laws, because criminals, by nature, ignore laws anyway. The problem is that too many Americans who are not criminals do not embrace their rights. The problem was that there was no one in the theater to pull out their own gun and put a bullet in this loon’s head before he could kill around a dozen people and injure many more.
How much suffering could have been spared? How many lives could have been saved if just a fraction of those in the theater had been bold enough to embrace their rights and been properly armed?
It is time to stop the insanity. It is time to take our own wellbeing seriously. It is time to be prepared for when loons like this pop up at random. It is time to arm ourselves and take them out first.
