A Warning … If I May

J.J. Jackson | July 13, 2012

Drudge this morning has a blurb on on his site that Condoleezza Rice has emerged as the frontrunner for Romney as a VP candidate.  But, a word of warning if I may.  And I know it is imprudent to warn conservatives about GOP candidates running against Barack Obama because everyone is so scared of the current President getting second term.  Turning on lights in the minds of conservstives so they can see the cockroaches is not very popular.  But since when do I care about being popular?

Thus, my warning is this.  Ms. Rice, like Mr. Romney is very, very far from conservative ideals on a great many issues.  She is very much like Romney, a moderate running down the road just waiting to be hit by oncoming traffic.  She is a polittical beast who once said of President Obama, “Nothing in this president’s methods suggests this president is other than a defender of America’s interests.”

Heading into an election that is solely about how much President Obama doesn’t have America’s interests at heart, how can conservatives accept someone who thinks otherwise on the ticket?

Is Ms. Rice right on some things?  Oh yes.  But be warned.  Like Romney, she will only disappoint.
