Ok, You Want To Talk About Character?

J.J. Jackson | November 29, 2011

Ever since my post this morning about Herman Cain’s latest accuser, this time an unemployed, financially desperate single mother, who claims to have had an affair with him, the emails from the left and those pushing other GOP contenders have been coming in with what appears to be the same, tired talking point. That talking point is that all these accusations must lead us to question Herman Cain’s “character” and that it is wrong for me to dare to discuss facts which point to motives, other than truthfulness, as to why these claims are being made.

I laugh when you cretins tell me how “evil” I am for “attacking” the character of these women. But I never hear from your mouths is how “evil” it is for these women to be “attacking” Mr. Cain’s character.

I stand by my original statements that until we have some actual evidence of something untoward being one by Mr. Cain that I consider these to be baseless allegations. I think that is a fair and just standard to set. And I think that anyone accused in a similar manner would expect the same standards. I know I certainly would.

As I mentioned earlier, a friend and a source of mine told me that this woman has a history of questionable behavior and borderline, if not outright, criminal behavior. Even the New York Times, that liberal bastion of insanity, sees fit to bring these issues up. They include, being sued for libel, which she failed to contest, and being hit with a temporary protective order for stalking.

If Herman Cain’s “character” is an issue, why not the character of Ms. White and the other women accusing Mr. Cain of wrongdoing? There should be no double standard. Character is character is character.

I want proof. I do not want unprovable allegations. And to all of you emailing me to complain that I should dare require such? Well you are of poor moral character yourselves and should be ashamed.
