Patriot Guard Riders Mission Alert: SPC Michael D. Elm

This is the final itinerary for the Patriot Guard mission to honor SPC Michael D. Elm, USA, Phoenix, AZ, who died October 14, 2011, in Khowst, Afghanistan. It is a go, all contacts have been made. Services will be held at Arlington National Cemetery, Monday, October 31, 2011, at approximately 0900 hrs. Our brothers and sisters in Arizona have already been given the honor to stand for SPC Elm and his family and we have been given the opportunity to continue to show our honor and respect as he makes his final journey to ANC.

SPC Elm graduated from Greenway High School, Phoenix, in 2004. He joined the army in 2009 and was currently assigned to Ft Knox. He was the recipient of the Army Achievement Medal, Army Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal and Global War on Terror Medal. He was posthumously awarded the Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart, Army Commendation Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal and Combat Infantryman Badge. This was his first tour in Afghanistan.

3×5 hand-held flags will not be needed for this mission. If you have 3×5 flag(s) mounted on your motorcycle, be sure to test your mount prior to arriving at the Marine Corps War Memorial (Iwo Jima). All rigs will be inspected before KSU.
