RSSWhoa! Let’s Not Deify Herman Cain!

This morning Quinn and Rose, nationally syndicated talk show hosts emanating from my home town of Pittsburgh, were discussing Herman Cain and other GOP candidates. In the course of this discussion Quinn labeled Herman Cain as ideologically pure after one caller wanted to get all over Cain for once being involved with the Federal Reserve.
Ok, let’s not get carried away! Have we forgotten TARP? Have we forgotten his repeated, and tortured defense of his support for TARP which all but ignores the limited powers granted to our federal government by our Constitution?
Ideologically pure? Herman Cain? Hardly!
A good candidate who right now earns a grade of “B” in my current candidate rankings? Yes. But nothing more than that.
I would like to note that as I have stated in the past, Herman Cain is one of only a few candidates running as of right now that I can support. But he is far from ideologically pure.
