The Tea Party is United in Indiana: See Why!
Amy Kremer | September 29, 2011
Patriots, there is something very important happening in Indiana right now!
The exciting news is that earlier this week, 55 local tea party groups from across Indiana united around a single common purpose: to send Senator Dick Lugar home to retirement! As you know, there is great diversity of ideas in the tea party movement, but when we all band together, our opponents better watch out! This doesn’t happen all the time, and is a clear sign that something big is about to happen.
The Tea Party Express is GOING ALL IN to support the 55 local tea party groups and help replace Lugar with a true conservative who will represent We the People with principle and integrity. Please help us support our tea party friends!
Some Republicans in Congress who started to veer left have dramatically changed their ways in response to the tea party movement, but not Lugar. He just doesn’t get it.
Early this year we at Tea Party Express identified Senator Dick Lugar as one of the ‘worst offenders’ in Congress. That dubious title is reserved for those who show a pattern of continuously betraying the basic principles that we in the Tea Party movement stand for. Principles such as, no more bailouts, reduce the size and intrusiveness of government, stop raising taxes, stop wasteful spending, and repeal Obamacare.
Although he claims to be a Republican, Senator Lugar has a pattern of voting against EVERY important tea party principle, all the while treating the movement with contempt and disdain. A few months ago Dick Lugar told the tea partiers they needed to “Get Real!”
Well we’re getting real serious about booting Lugar out of office. We have 2 more days to build up resources before we make some major announcements about our campaign. We’re not making it public just yet, but you can bet we’re going to have a huge impact! We need your help to pull this off. If you support tea party principles over career politicians, we need you to make a contribution of $25, $50, $100, $250, $500, $1,000 or more.
