Sgt Barun Rai, 24, of Silver Spring, Md., died August 3 in Logar province, Afghanistan of injuries suffered during a vehicle rollover. He was assigned to the 54th Engineer Battalion, 18th Engineer Brigade, 21st Theater Sustainment Command, Warner Barracks, Bamberg, Germany.

Sgt Rai is to be interred on the hallowed grounds of Arlington National Cemetery on 2 September 2011 at approximately 1300 hours from the Administration Building.

Brief: 1200 hrs
Transit: 1210 hrs to ANC Admin Bldg
Honors: 1300 hrs Graveside ANC (time approx.)
