Complaining For The Sake Of Complaining

J.J. Jackson | July 31, 2011

I love you liberals.  You can always be counted on to get apoplectic whenever anyone threatens to cut off you hand that is firmly planted in the cookie jar.  Irrationality is never far behind.

Here are what liberals are saying about my proposed plan to trim the budget and live within our means.

Rob Coleman writes:

“Mr. Jackson, you are a jackass and a coward for proposing a 100% cut in funding to Welfare programs.  Do you know how many people depend on these programs?  I doubt you do.  You want to throw these people out of their homes and have them starve.  Fact is that while you cut these programs you propose not one cut from the military industial(sic) Complex!  We know which sice(sic) your bread is buttered on it seems.”

I would like to point out to Mr. Coleman that I did indeed propose a 15% cut, right out of the gates, to military spending next year.  Perhaps he was so outraged by my first set of cuts that he was simply unable to continue reading.  Who knows.

As for cutting Welfare 100%, well it is unconstitutional after all.

Concerning people living in their homes who might be thrown out into the streets because of these proposed cuts I say, oh well.  Sometimes the well runs dry.

Annie (no last name given) writes:

“YUour(sic) sick twisted demented budget proposal just goes to show how much you conservatives do not care about our childrens(sic).  You want to cut all money for education???  What the heck are our childrens(sic) supposed to do for an edcation(sic) huh?”

Anne should note that I do not “cut all money for education”.  I only cut the federal government’s contribution to such endeavors.  There is, again, no authority for such an expenditure found in the Constitution.

Oh, then there is Dr. Franklin who did not like parts of my proposal as well:

“Your proposal to cut all sorts of medical and reseach(sic) funding from the federal budget is short sighted.  I do not think you know how many of us depend on this funding for our research to provide innovation to society.  Without this money the center that I work fer(sic) would be shut down as we have no private funding whatsoever.  That would mean 20 people out of work in this already troublesome time.”

Well, my response to the good doctor here is that if your research is so unwanted that only the federal government sees it as necessary then perhaps it should be done away with.  Then he should go get a job producing something his fellow man actually wants from him rather than what bureaucrats demand of him.
