TSA – We Did Not Force Lady To Remove Diaper But Really Did

The TSA is filled with people marginally educated and who are simply inept. “Blogger Bob” who regularly spouts nonsense on the TSA’s official blog is a prime example of this as he has gleefully displayed his ignorance on the Constitution and general logic in the past and for all to see.
The latest example of TSA idiocy comes in the form of a 95 year old cancer patient who was trying to visit relatives as she copes with her disease. This wheel chair bound woman was singled out for “enhanced” security screening as 95 year old cancer patients have been apparently targeted as threats to blow up and/or hijack airplanes. In order to board the plane however, the TSA required the diaper she was wearing to be inspected.
This has caused quite an uproar and like good little soldiers the TSA claims that they never actually required the woman to remove the diaper. But they did tell the woman’s daughter that if the diaper was not inspection that the 95 year old would not be allowed to fly.
The woman’s daughter, Jean Weber, told CNN on Monday that the TSA agents acted professionally and never ordered the removal of her mother’s diaper. However, Weber said the agents made it clear that her mother could not board the plane unless they were able to inspect the diaper.
According to Weber, it was her idea to remove the diaper so it could be inspected and they could make their flight.
Ok, so they told her that she didn’t have to remove the diaper for inspection if she wanted to fly. That’s a pretty paper thin defense on the part of the TSA. Basically they did say to remove the diaper for inspection or go back home. This is like the IRS saying we never said you had to pay your taxes and then clarifying that statement with, “but if you don’t you will to go to jail.”
But don’t worry! The TSA has investigated itself and found itself innocent of any impropriety!
“We have reviewed the circumstances involving this screening and determined that our officers acted professionally, according to proper procedure and did not require this passenger to remove an adult diaper.”
Wow! That puts this entire situation to rest I guess?
Not in my mind or the minds of most thinking Americans. But I bet “Blogger Bob” and other TSA employees think otherwise as they prepare to find the next 95 year old cancer patient to harass in the name of airport security. Call it a hunch from knowing liberals as well as I do.
