More Thoughts on Michele Bachmann (re: Chris Wallace & John Wayne

J.J. Jackson | June 28, 2011

Some of you conservatives out there are deeply disappointing me. It seems that there are quite a few of you out there that are hyperventilating like prototypical liberals so often do.

Why? Because Michele Bachmann is daring to be asked questions and held accountable for her gaffes.

This past weekend Chris Wallace interviewed Ms. Bachmann and at the end of the interview asked her if she was “a flake” because of some things she has said. That set the Bachmann partisans into hyperactive drive. They called and wrote FOX News to complain because bloggers who distorted the exchange made it sound worse than it was. Even some talk show hosts have spent parts of now two days railing against the line of questioning.

On one level I understand the sensitivity considering the way the media has and continues to treat Sarah Palin and how they let real flakes like Biden, Obama, Pelosi and Reid who don’t have, combined, two active brain cells to rub together go mostly without challenge. But on the other, and more substantial, level I don’t understand it at all. Anyone that has actually listened to the exchange between Bachmann and Wallace can clearly see that he was not calling her a flake and that he was giving her a chance to respond to critics of her intelligence.

I suspect that those of you out there going bonkers over Chris Wallace’s question are actually more upset with the fact that Bachmann’s response was sadly one of her typical, rambling responses. While it did at times hit on substantive rebukes of her “flakiness” it inserted far too many irrelevancies to the question at hand.

Now, another issue that has you Bachmann partisans going nuts is the fact that she had to be corrected over comments regarding the birth place of John Wayne. She claimed it was in Waterloo, Iowa. And while this is a common myth among people of that town that Mr. Wayne was born there this is not true. He was born in Winterset.

Ok, I get it. The main stream media let idiotic comments like Obama saying how he visited 57 states go without any comment and that there are still liberal media outlets out there claiming that it was Sarah Palin that said she could see Russia from her house when in fact it was Tina Fey playing Sarah Palin that said such. No, really i get it. But Ms. Bachmann gaffed. Get over it. Hold her to the same standard you expect the liberal media to hold liberals to.

By acting insanely you only hurt your credibility.

Chris Wallace should find another propogander outlet like his Marxist family, father and mother.
If he is not suspended I’m not watching Fox any more. You report, we decide, I didn’t decide that anyone was flaky like Chris or his commie father.

I see the flaky Imus racist lover is still on Fox. Stop buying falky products being sold by Wallace. every Wallace in America has been an commie sympathyzer. His father has holes in his face and the lips of a gropie fish. Ugly family scum. Flakes.
