Recovery Lost? Part 2
J.J. Jackson | April 28, 2011
Not only did first time claims for unemployment rise this week from 404,000 last week to 429,000, but the economy slowed as well in the first quarter of 2011. According to the Commerce Department the economy grew at just 1.8% in the first quarter after 3.1% growth in the fourth quarter of 2010.
While those numbers beat some experts’ projections, they signal a possible decline in confidence that Republicans, swept into power in the House of Representatives, are able and even willing to stem the bleeding of horrid socialist policies enacted over the past years and which are dragging America under the waves for the third time.
