Chicago, IL (PRWEB) April 27, 2011

The Heartland Institute – a 27-year-old national nonprofit public policy research organization – is pleased to announce Peter Ferrara has joined the organization as senior fellow for entitlement and budget policy.

Ferrara is also general counsel of the American Civil Rights Union and director of policy at the Carleson Center for Public Policy, among other posts. He is the author of “The Obama Health Plan: Rationing, Higher Taxes, and Lower Quality Care” (Heartland Policy Study #123, 2009) and “The Obamacare Disaster” (Heartland Policy Study #128, 2010).

“The federal budget and entitlement reform are emerging as the most important public policy topics of our lifetimes,” said Joseph Bast, president of The Heartland Institute. “Bringing a policy analyst of Peter’s stature on board now ensures that we will be leading rather than following the national debate.”
