Barack Obama Admits That “Birthers” Were Right All Along
Carl Andrews | April 29, 2011
Real-Estate mogul Donald Trump this week won the first round in what may ultimately prove to be Barack Obama's Waterloo.
Since the 2008 Presidential primary elections, there has been a huge segment of Americans, from all walks of life, who were asking Barack Obama to produce his birth certificate.
President Obama scorned and ignored such requests for years, allowing the controversy to grow and fester.
The "nicest" term given to people asking President Obama to prove that he was an American citizen was Birther.
Many more on the left were like rabid dogs, labeling such requests as racism.
These morally bankrupt morons tend to forget that there were just as many questions and red flags raised about if John McCain was a natural-born U.S. citizen.
That question raged for quite some time, and in spite of proof, the main reason that firestorm died down was obviously because McCain lost the 2008 election.
Obama won the election, and people continued to ask to see his long-form birth certificate.
And the White House continued to ignore the American people.
Obama's defenders offered various documents that they purported were proof that Barack Obama was born in Hawaii as he claimed, these documents were not acceptable to the people who wanted irrefutable proof of Obama's fitness to be Commander-In-Chief.
The folks who started off with the label Birther were given various excuses, the most ludicrous of which was that President Obama couldn't release his long-form birth certificate because the State of Hawaii wouldn't give it to him.
I think there was a guy living in a cave in North Dakota that was stupid enough to believe that, but he was probably the only one.
So the fringe lunatics on the left pulled out the same war cry that they use when anyone disagrees with anyting to do with President Obama, whether it's his health care policies or the style of the suit he's wearing.
If you can't debate someone fairly on an issue, call them racists.
We here at The Freedom Medium have followed this issue for a while now, and we have been called conspiracy nuts, tin-foil hat wearers, and yes, racists.
We never said that Barack Obama wasn't born in America, we, like millions of others, simply could not understand why he refused to address the issue.
Then along came Donald Trump.
Trump, who many feel is considering a 2012 Presidential bid, on national televison questioned why Obama refused to release his birth certificate.
And was promptly accused of racism.
Now, however, the question was brought into the spotlight.
And finally, Obama was forced to address the issue of his birth certificate on live TV.
Looking extremely annoyed, Obama finally released his long-form birth certificate, and in doing so, saying that "this has gone on for two and a half years, I have watched with bemusement, I've been puzzled............."
"I was born in Hawaii August 4th 1961"
(We'll come back to this.)
..........."Normally I would not comment on anything like this...."
President Obama went on to mention the huge challenges still facing America, and said that we won't be able to solve these problems "if we are distracted."
".....We do not have time for this kind of silliness....."
Mr. President, with all due respect, for all of the times during your press conference you said "We did this" or "We offered this proof", you, up until now, allowed this controversy to continue to be the very distraction that you claim that we now must put behind us.
I applaud your decision to finally face this question yourself, not through some flunky, although by doing so you in effect admitted that the "Birthers" were right all along.
You may not have created this debate, but you surely allowed it to go on long enough.
And I realize I am about to enrage a large segment of your supporters when I call into question your statement that you were born on August 4th 1961.
No, I'm not questioning the date of your birth.
What has me confused is a speech you made in 2007.
You said:
"What happened in Selma, Alabama and Birmingham also stirred the conscience of the nation...
This young man named Barack Obama...came over to this country.
He met this woman...(who) had a good idea there was some craziness going on because they looked at each other and they decided...it might...be possible for us to get together and have a child.
There was something stirring across the country because of what happened in Selma, Alabama... So they got together and Barack Obama Jr. was born.
So don't tell me I don't have a claim on Selma, Alabama. Don't tell me I'm not coming home to Selma, Alabama.
I'm here because somebody marched."
Now many of your supporters will claim that I must be wearing a tinfoil hat.
Because when I read those words it leads me to believe that your mother and father decided to have a child, you, who was born in August of 1961, because of the Voting Rights March that took place in Selma Alabama.
A march that took place in 1965.
