This memorial to the flag-raising on Iwo Jima is situated right at the entrance of the Parade Deck at MCRD Parris Island.
One of the many pictures we took when we went to see our daughter, (at the time PFC, now Lance Corporal) Andrews graduate from Marine Corps Boot Camp at Parris Island South Carolina.
(The dates on some of these photos are incorrect, it was a new camera and we had something set wrong)
