The Fires Of Unrest

The real issue of our debt and the means to reign it under control is being drowned out, and polarized under false pretense that it is a battle over Labor rights. At no time are we hearing the Union Protesters addressing this issue, at no time are we hearing the leadership of the Unions nor those that have been exposed as allies such as CPUSA or SPUSA present a viable solution to the looming problem that faces each and every citizen of this country. We are starting to hear calls for revolution and physical harm to elected officials. We should really question just what the real background end game being sought.
Let me pose a question to you, some are calling for Walker to be tarred and feathered but are not calling for the leadership of the Unions to likewise be tarred and feathered, why is that? After all, it is the leadership that has negotiated the contracts and concessions that are imposed on members. I did not see “A Day Of Rage” , or a call of Egyptian like revolution for the recent givebacks to YRC ( Largest Less Than Truckload Carrier in the United States that is Unionized), why is that?
When you address the issue of job loss in the United States why is it that Over Regulation and High taxes are never mentioned by those currently calling for these “days of rage” in the United States? Why is it that we do not see the Leadership and members come out on the streets and in the state houses over the fact that most businesses you walk into have immigrant workers and the fact that the leadership have allied themselves with groups such as La Raza and in many cases are pushing for Amnesty legislation?
It is funny actually listening to some of these people as they fail to address those issues but only attack “Big Business”, you know the ones that provide the jobs that Union and non Union members work at, not the Unions. Without those business the “bigger business ” of the Unions would not exist. Let’s not take that into account at all because at that point we would actually have to be honest and examine the Unions as well and their dealings and how they are not always in the “Workers interest”, but the interest of the Unions and their overall survival.
In this whole debate we hear the class warfare card played over and over, and that my friends is the exact same thing played in the Soviet Union. Once again that has been ignored. The same folks who supported that type of political and economic structure are present today and out in full support of the Unions. When you see all the Che pictures and all of the Red flags and shirts you cannot help but understand the symbolism associated with that, unless you have been under a rock for the last 120 years.
We see people that are actually calling for similar Revolution to occur as we are seeing in the Middle East without fully understanding that in the end that does not work in the favor of even the most ardent supporters of like revolutions. It is called a workers revolution, “Workers Of The World Unite”, but is it really when not all the “workers” are supportive. Why is it not questioned that not all workers are in support of the protests on the streets of the capitols or in Madison for that matter. We are hearing the rhetoric and tactic of intimidation play out for those that oppose are all brainwashed by corporations. One might ask, “Are the people protesting brainwashed from years of progressive teaching in the schools and the rhetoric from the Union halls?”
At the beginning of this we were hearing that it was, “For The Children”, but we are being shown that it has nothing to do with the children. It has everything to do with the protections afforded those that are unionized and in the Public Sector Unions that have in most cases better “rights” than those that pay them. If it was really for the children these teachers would not attempt to commit fraud by having doctors notes issued to them when they are not sick. The example and precedent that this shows to the “Children” is both unethical and immoral which is now instituted in the schools social behavior teaching that is now mandated.
Lost in all of this pomp and circumstance is the very fact that we pour an exorbitant amount into our educational system for less than satisfactory results. I do not blame the teachers as a whole for this fact. Once again we do not want to take a honest look at how we got to this point and how this whole problem of not addressing our financial problems and the current “Workers Revolution ” plays a part. I would like to show a small example. Technology that allows our teachers with modern day tools to educate our children in the 21st century such as smart boards and computers in the classroom are not prevalent. The reason is not that we do not allocate enough money, but that the money is used to cover the cost of both administrative and staff personnel and the pay and benefit packages that were negotiated by the Unions. If the issue was truly an issue about the children then teachers and those that are supporting this “Workers Revolution” would be honest about the fact that States need to address the financial problems in a decisive way that really benefits the children over the adults.
We are hearing a lot of rhetoric about “Greed”, Corporate greed, and the greed of those who want to take away “Workers Rights”. What we are not hearing about is the “Greed” by those calling for this revolution on the backs of future generations, you know “The Children”! When we honestly examine those that are calling for a workers revolution some are failing to be honest and look at what it costs to sustain the lifestyle and so called rights. Our Federal Government and our State and Local Governments are broke and a large percentage of the reason directly comes back to the contracts negotiated in the past. Until we have the tools to address those liabilities we will never move forth in fixing the problems that we are locked into. If we truly want to do something for “The Children” we would address some of the “Greed” that is not being shown in the media and that is the “Greed” of those that care for themselves over the generations to come.
Do we really want to go the route of the former Soviet Union or Greece for that matter. Do we really want Civil Unrest on the streets of America? How many of those that are out supporting these Pro Union Rallies fully understand all of the groups working in the background and that their heated calls for Change and Rights are far from what they themselves have been led to believe. How many of the Union Rank and File understand that the leaderships have allied themselves with revolutionary groups that have been in play all across the world recently? How many of these Rank and File members understand that once you introduce the unrest from the bottom no matter how noble the cause, ends up with the top crashing down upon them?
When we hear the calls for tar and feathering of elected officials and we see our fellow citizens calling for revolution similar to what we are seeing in the Middle East we first need to examine what they really think the end goal will result in because in 8 out of 10 times it has historically gone horribly wrong! They will not get the freedoms and protections that they are led to believe, but the oppression and the inability to the same “Rights” they think they are fighting for now.
We face a dire time in the history of this nation, many paths are open to follow. It is up to each of us to decide where we stand and what course we really want to hand to our children. Why not do the adult thing and address our problems and challenges in a way that continues the continuity of our nation, or will we slide into the Fires of Civil Unrest?
