Defining the Constitution

Supreme Court Justice Anthony Scalia hit the nail on the head by encouraging members of congress to read and study the federalist papers because he knows in them the best way to interpret what the founding fathers meant is explained in simple terms eliminating the possibility of being tossed to for by every wind doctrine man can come up with in our day. Many of the differences in understanding what the founders meant are clearly defined by their writings about the document. The constitution is not nearly as hard to understand as many present it but for the sake of those that are deceived by the liberal slant of it’s meaning the most sure fire way to gain further enlightenment of the document is to read the federalist papers.

One great example: For my purpose since I try write about things pertaining to Christianity I am familiar with where the founders stood on the issue of religion. To get a sense of where the majority of the founding fathers stood on religion after reading the federalist papers if a believer or non-believer alike is honest with him/herself they cannot conclude anything but that America was founded on Christian principles and should be governed based on that but at the same time; allowed a citizen of the United States to believe or not believe whatever they wanted, which again follows what God had already established.

Supposition of Founding Fathers

Our founding fathers came to America to escape the despotism that existed in England and throughout Europe with its dictatorially strict laws through progression governing what religion its people must live by. This by the way is what differentiates America from the rest of the world we live in that we don’t force anyone to abide by a state-run religion but do encourage Christianity. Many in Europe have abandoned any religion at all as a result of their past tyranny concerning religion and is why Islam is gaining such a strong foothold in these countries.

Nowhere Man Please Listen

Rejecting God and his word over a period of time has produced the same results over and over. The people will fall prey to whatever or put another way will believe a lie because of their past stubbornly seared conscious. This is what the bible means when it mentions the term generational apostasy. Recall God allowed the children of Israel to roam around in the desert for a generation because of their unbelief. It is not God punishing them it is because they separated themselves from him and are living with the consequence of their sin without repentance. The above points out the necessity to train up a child in the way he ought to go because of the long term consequences if we don’t. It is easy for man to blame God for what they did to themselves but that will get them to the place of the nowhere man as the songs suggest. With a little adlib and ask yourself, is this descriptive of you? Do you know what you believe and why you believe what you do? If you don’t then I dare say the following does describe you verbatim.

He’s a real Nowhere Man,

Sitting in his Nowhere Land,

Making all his Nowhere plans for nobody.

Doesn’t have a point of view,

Knows not where he’s going to,

Isn’t he a bit like you and me?

Nowhere man please listen,

Nowhere Man, the world is at your command.

He’s as blind as he can be,

Just sees what he wants to see, etc.

History Does Repeat Itself to the Unstable Mind

By studying Foxes book of Martyrs and other sound writings of history one can see the pattern that was established and continues to this day. Many people who broke away from Papal Rome’s now called the (Catholic Church) strangle-hold on religion. Many through the grace of God learned the truth about the bible and broke away from Rome’s grip only to be met with torture and death for doing so. In England they established their own state run religion and demanded its people adhere to it but this was the very thing they had hoped to escape from leaving them no other choice but to come to America and start a new life free to worship as they pleased. This briefly describes the scene of the crime as they say in law enforcement. It is as Jesus said it would be when he said, John 16:2-3 they shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service. And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me. Today we have another formidable enemy of the cross in the religion of Islam that demands the whole world believe Islam or die. Joshua summed it best in describing God and our founding father’s intent when he made the statement, “Joshua 24:15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” In searching the federalist papers one finds this same exact principle is used by the founding fathers. Joshua in turn followed after what God had established by creating man with the ability to choose as witnessed by Adam and Eve the first humans of which he fashioned after his own image in his creation. Notice he didn’t interfere with them eating of the forbidden fruit but only warned them of the consequences if they did.

Conclusion

There can be no doubt about the principles on which our nation was founded and it is Christianity. The intent of the founders was to base our laws and way of living built around Christian principles and didn’t allow for such things as theocracies such as Islam presents. Our founders encouraged Christian living but would not force anyone to live the Christian life just as God doesn’t; however, Islam offers two alternatives to this, either convert to Islam and/or become a slave of Islam or be killed for not converting. I could actually give you page upon page of the founding fathers quotes on this subject so you will know without a doubt where they stood but in the interest of space I will furnish you with a few.

I strongly encourage all of you to do yourself a favor and get a copy of the Federalist Papers because in them it will help you to understand what spirit our founding fathers were of, define yourself and if we as a people are to correct the wrongs currently taking place it begins with the knowledge of who we are individually. Face it, until we can clearly define ourselves and where we stand on the issues that confront us we are easy subjects to the powers that be to be tossed to and fro by all their fiery darts and today there is a whole lot evil going on. Satan is the author of confusion not God. Political Correctness Doctrine is one the most cunningly devised schemes he has ever come up with because in it the groundwork is laid to keep confusion in the minds of the unlearned. It continually grows in strength to snuff out any rebuttal to the imposition of his whims.

I firmly believe this. I also believe that without His concurring aid, we shall succeed in this political building no better than the builders of Babel…. The Mark of a False Religion

“When religion is good, it will take care of itself. When it is not able to take care of itself, and God does not see fit to take care of it, so that it has to appeal to the civil power for support, it is evidence to my mind that its cause is a bad one.”

Washington declared, “Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim the tribute of patriotism, who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness, these firmest props of the duties of men and citizens.” Washington reportedly added the words “so help me God” to the end of his inaugural oath and then bowed and kissed the Bible.

John Adams

John Adams, said, “Our Constitution is designed only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate for any other.” Adams went further, declaring, “So great is my veneration of the Bible that the earlier my children begin to read it, the more confident will be my hope that they will prove useful citizens of their country and respectful members of society.”

He also called on the state of Massachusetts to pray that . . .

• The peaceful and glorious reign of our Divine Redeemer may be known and enjoyed throughout the whole family of mankind.

• We may with one heart and voice humbly implore His gracious and free pardon through Jesus Christ, supplicating His Divine aid . . . [and] above all to cause the religion of Jesus Christ, in its true spirit, to spread far and wide till the whole earth shall be filled with His glory.

John Hancock, signer of the Declaration of Independence, president of Congress, Revolutionary general (you remember him, don’t ‘cha?) and governor of Massachusetts

“Sensible of the importance of Christian piety and virtue to the order and happiness of a state, I cannot but earnestly commend to you every measure for their support and encouragement.” “That with true contrition of heart we may confess our sins, resolve to forsake them, and implore the Divine forgiveness, through the merits and mediation of Jesus Christ, our Savior. . . . Daniel Webster

American statesman and Secretary of State Daniel Webster echoed similar sentiments years later when he declared, “Whatever makes men good Christians makes them good citizens.”
