Chick-fil-A and Homosexual Intolerance
Gene Lalor | January 31, 2011
When is a chicken not just a food? When it’s sold by a homophobic, hateful, discriminatory, vile (Christian) vendor, of course!
I’ve only had the gastronomical delight of indulging in Chick-fil-A chicken once or twice during a brief sojourn in North Carolina some years ago. Had I known then the philosophy of the owner of that fast-but-excellent-food chain, I would have indulged more often. Chick-fil-A, unfortunately, has no outlets in my Long Island, New York vicinity although it does currently have some 1501 restaurants nationwide in 39 states plus D.C.
Unfortunate, too, is the current campaign being staged by homosexuals against the privately-held chain because one of its Pennsylvania stores had the unmitigated gall to feed a group of individuals who oppose gay marriage. Apparently, in PA it’s fine to scarf down all the Chick-fil-A chicken you wish, but if an outlet dares to serve people who disagree with you and believe in the sanctity of marriage, as most Americans do, you run afoul, or afowl, of homosexuals.
The immediate cause of that most recent gay uproar may have been one Pennsylvania store, which story the New York Times oddly and gaily headlined as, “If you’re eating Chick-fil-A, you’re eating anti-gay,” but the story goes far beyond PA. Pennsylvania was just a skirmish in a long gay war against true diversity and against Chick-fil-A.
As one observer noted, “If they [gays] don’t like Chick-fil-A and what it stands for, they are not required to eat there. Chick-fil-A has done nothing wrong here, and yet they want to damage them. I believe some people want to damage the company simply because it is a Christian based corporation,” http://tiny.cc/2d9hf. Therein lies the homosexual intent.
Chick-fil-A has done something wrong here; it dared to depart from the homosexual agenda of universal agreement on gay marriage and is a Christian enterprise to boot, even though the chain welcomes any customers who enjoy chicken whether they be Christian, Jew, Muslim, Buddhist, or practitioners of voodoo. Gays are nevertheless committed to damaging Chick-fil-A because the chain isn’t PC, adheres to Christian principles, and doesn’t conform to the minority American view on same-sex marriage.
The founder of Chick-fil-A, Sunday school teacher S. Truett Cathy, and its current president, his son Dan Cathy, are devout Christians who conduct their 67 year old business on the bases of those Christian principles. Not only do both franchised and company-owned stores close on Sundays but the chain endeavors to treat its employees well and fairly and is widely-known for supporting the communities it serves by providing local scholarships, contributing to charities, etc.
That service and support go for nought with gays. It’s that Christianity that sticks in the craw of homosexual protestors who used the incident in Pennsylvania to publicize their ongoing campaign to rid the nation of what they feel is the pestilence of Chick-fil-A, and they’re having a degree of success mainly, not unsurprisingly, on college campuses.
Change.org, which specializes in inciting agitation, cited various colleges and universities in which student activists forced their student unions to expel Chick-fil-A outlets. Indiana University South Bend and Florida Gulf Coast University are among those schools which showed their intolerance of Christian diversity.
One student at FGCU reflected not only that intolerance but a failure in Logic 101 and Economics 101 by linking the restaurant’s banishment with homophobia, capitalism, and the college buzz of environmentalism. Sophomore Rashad Davis was on a professorial-induced collegiate roll when he said that “allowing a Chick-fil-A on campus would only line the pockets of people peddling homophobia. . . Giving money to an organization that supports anti-gay networks and isn’t environmentally conscious is the wrong thing to do. And the more we pay them, the bigger they grow:” http://tiny.cc/70q1p
In a demonstration of true tolerance and inclusion, Chick-fil-A’s President Dan Cathy has categorically denied any effort to offend the company’s clientele. At the same time, he has not denied the company’s support for Christian or other organizations which work in defense of traditional, normal, marriage, and good for him! That won’t placate gays but what will, short of the entire country jumping on the gay marriage bandwagon?
In view of the homosexual influence in the New York area, Chick-fil-A will probably never open a restaurant here. That’s a loss for gays and heterosexuals alike. New York may be the ultimate in diversity and tolerance but only if the diversity conforms and the tolerance tolerates the intolerant.

Would you feel the same way if they discriminated against women, blacks or Jews (or Evangelicals)? People don’t choose to be gay — it’s genetic.
Sorry Mike. It’s a lifestyle choice. If it were a born that way condition like skin color then there could not be ex-gays.
Check out PFOX
Sorry to shatter your ill informed world view.
I agree with DiddyF, Mike while SOME people are born with it, the majority make a lifestyle choice. How can you knock a PUBLICLY CHRISTIAN RESTAURANT and bully them in to changing their beliefs. Why should they change who they are? It isn’t any more fair than asking a gay person to change who they are. That’s just hypocritical.
I wonder how Mike would explain me as a bi-sexual? Since I sometimes am with girls and sometimes with men his whole “born that way” argument is pretty much out the window when you look at me.
I make a choice as to who I am with. I am not one of those goofballs that have to justify my desire to be with the same sex as born that I way. I made the choice.
If this fast food chain and all the other intolerent ones would actually follow the teachings of Jesus Christ, this would not even be an issue. Christ loves all, who and how they are. BTW– If you think being gay is actually a lifestyle, when did you DECIDE to be staight? You didn’t it was just the way YOU are too. Love and Peace to all.
When did you decide to be a dumb ass? You label yourself as a “A good hearted and fair minded Christian” but that is only because you are trying to defuse the truth about yourself.
You don’t choose to be what is natural. You choose to do what is unnatural. Homosexuality is unnatural. It serves what purpose exactly?
You claim to be a Christian but like so many that do you know little about Christianity. Christ loved all, but he did not accept sin as right. As he said, he did not come to overturn the old ways, but to support them and promote them.
Here’s what you need to know about “a good hearted and fair
minded Christian”. He/she/it saw fit to answer our current poll about whether the 212th Congress Was more in line with his/her/it’s beleifs than the previous one with the choice of “no”.
Essentially he/she/it is saying that the Congress under Pelosi/Reid, with rabbid far leftists in control of bothHouses, was more in line with what he/she/it believes than a Congress split between the far left Reid Democrats and the not even arguably less liberal Republicans.
Obviously one of those “Christians” that think socialism, done hard core, is he way to go. Yeah, like I said all you needed to know about how “fair minded” he/she/it is and how “Christian” he/she/it is too.
Would it be okay for Chick-fill-A or any other Christian restaurant to refuse to serve gay patrons or to expel them while they are eating if it is believed that they are gay?
Well, at least you were honest enough to admit you are a troll.
Now it is time for a GOTCHA!
Is it ok for a clerk to refuse to sell tobacco to minors? How about alcohol? Is it ok for an establish to deny access to people who want to smoke while eating dinner? Is it ok for a bar that hires sexy, big breasted women to be waitresses to deny employment to fat, disgusting women?
There ya go. It is called liberty. In a free society people get to partake of it. Whether you agree with it or not.
Can everyone just shut up and eat! I still eat Ben and Jerry’s and don’t agree with a damn thing they probably believe and I am certainly not gay.
