As promised I am providing access to the article, "Refusing to Identify or Name Our Enemy," written by S. Eugene Poteat in the AFIO journal "The Intelligencer, the Journal of U.S. Intelligence Studies".

The AFIO "focuses on understanding the critical need for effective counterintelligence and security against foreign, political, technological or economic espionage, as well as covert, clandestine and overt counter-terrorist or criminal operations threatening US security, the national infrastructure or corporate and individual safety."

In "Who exactly is our enemy?" I had written that in his article S. Eugene Poteat discusses the fact that "... the United States, in dealing with and identifying those who wish to destroy us, regularly and quite deliberately omits the word Muslim in the description.

He cites many examples, but begins in the beginning with Jimmy Carter and the U.S. Embassy attack in 1976 when it was said that the event was an uprising of Iranian terrorists. In similar fashion he recalls the Pan Am 103 bombing, the attacks on our embassies in Africa, the USS Cole bombing, the attacks on September 11, 2001, the London subway bombing and the train bombings in Spain and the fact that these terrorist acts were never identified specifically as the work of Muslim extremists..."
