Obama Hoops Mishap: Payback for Giving “Lip Service” to Hispanic Causes?

The curse that has burdened President Barack Obama throughout the month of November continued to ensnare The One on Thanksgiving Day, extending even to his most beloved venue: The basketball court.
As reported, in part, at the reference, Obama took a sharp elbow to the upper lip while playing defense in a pickup game on Turkey Day:WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama needed 12 stitches in his upper lip after taking an errant elbow during a pickup basketball game Friday morning with family and friends visiting for the Thanksgiving holiday, the White House said.
The White House did not initially name the person who caused the injury, but identified him later Friday as Rey Decerega, director of programs for the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute.
The president had gone to nearby Fort McNair to indulge in a game of basketball, one of his favorite athletic pursuits. It was a five-on-five contest involving family and friends. Among the players were Obama's nephew, Avery Robinson, Education Secretary Arne Duncan and Reggie Love, Obama's personal assistant, who played at Duke University.
The White House said the injury happened during their fifth and final game when Decerega turned to take a shot and hit Obama, who was playing defense, in the mouth with his elbow.”
Obama’s weakness on defense should come as no great surprise, given the president’s advocacy for START and other queasy positions involving national security and homeland security.
What is surprising, however, is the aggressive play of Rey Decerega who is supposed to be an Obama ally.
Perhaps Decerega needs a few months, or years, of intense anger management tutoring to quell his frustration with Obama’s light-weight response to issues regarded as vital by Hispanic moon bats?
The burning question: Was Decerega’s elbow payback to Obama for what is perceived as “Lip Service” by Obama to Hispanic causes?
And why has the Secret Service not investigated Decerega’s elbow for possible assault on the lip of the President of the United States of America?
