ROCPAC, Election Day, and Obamacare

Gene Lalor | October 31, 2010

Rick Crawford, Steven Palazzo, Steve Pearce, Tim Scott, Robin Smith, Tim Casey, Sharron Angle, Marco Rubio, John Raese.  What do all those folks have in common?

Well for one thing, they’re all conservative Republican candidates who will be on ballots on November 2nd for either the U.S. House of Representatives or for the United States Senate.  For another, they’re among those who have committed themselves to fight for repeal or radical change of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010, (PPACA), less than affectionately known as Obamacare, after they’re elected.

ROCPAC Candidates    They’re also some of the people endorsed by RepealObamacarePac.com, ROCPAC, a federally registered PAC founded in March 2010 shortly after the narrow passage of PPACA on March 23, 2010: http://tiny.cc/o1ltk

ROCPAC supports candidates who pledge to use their vote in Congress to repeal the monstrosity of federally run healthcare in America and the many destructive aspects of the alleged healthcare reform.

Along with many millions of concerned Americans, ROCPAC is keenly aware that PPACA in actuality represents anything but “patient protection” nor will it be “affordable” when fully implemented in 2014, unless affordability is measured by how many hundreds of billions in taxpayer dollars will be required to keep Obamacare afloat.

We at ROCPAC fully understand the ramifications of PPACA, as well as its abominations.

Patterned after the socialized medicine models in Europe and especially after Great Britain’s National Health Service or NHS, single-payer, taxpayer-funded health care, PPACA was passed by our Democrat congress at the same time most of those systems were in dire financial troubles if not in their death throes.

Make no mistake, the most egregious element of Obamacare would be that “single-payer” feature which provides for universal health care administered though a government-run financial arrangement. Like the abortion provsions, that feature was not incorporated in PPACA 2010 due to widespread, bi-partisan opposition but as Democrat Rep. Barney Frank said, “I think the best way we’re going to get single payer–the only way–is to have a public option demonstrate its strength and power.”

We now have the public option.  Next step: single-payer, unless ROCPAC conservatives make their voices known and elect ROCPAC candidates on November 2nd.

Obama’s troops will turn out in force on Election Day.

The teacher unions, the SEIU, the AFL-CIO, the UAW and every other group in favor of socialized medicine and government bureaucrats dictating which Americans will get adequate health care and which will not, which elderly Americans get needed surgery and which will not, which sick and injured Americans of any age are deemed too expensive to treat, will be at the polls casting their ballots for Obamacare.

The rest of us, the majority of us, must be there, too.  Complaining or protesting against the sorry state of medical care under PPACA on November 3rd and thereafter will be for naught.  The die was cast when Democrats pushed through Obamacare.  The game will be over if they are not turned out on Tuesday.
