A Letter from an American Soldier in Iraq: Thank You!
Move America Forward | October 28, 2010
Friends, with the holidays approaching, our troops need our support more than ever. In Iraq, the war is mostly over, but despite the fact that many troops have come home, over 50,000 still remain in Iraqi cities, helping and supporting the Iraqi forces. The news coming out of Afghanistan has not been good, and even though we have gained much ground as The Surge rolls on, our troops are still meeting stiff resistance and are feeling forgotten by Americans at home who are preoccupied with a sluggish economy and a cataclysmic election cycle.
Here at Move America Forward, we have not stopped thinking about our troops out there fighting to protect our nation from the radical Islamic jihadists who are trying to reconstitute the diabolical network of terror groups that plotted and carried out the attacks of September 11th.
To save us from another 9/11, our troops are fighting a tough battle, and making sacrifices most of us wouldn’t dream of making. But there is something you can do to help, send a care package through Move America Forward, full of goodies that our troops will truly appreciate, and really be able to use out there in those barren battlefields of Afghanistan or Iraq.

Check out the letter below, which MAF received in the mail just a couple days ago from Trevor in Iraq. It’s common for us to receive thank you notes like this who write to MAF to thank our volunteers for their part in packing up the care packages that our sponsors donate from our website!
Trevor writes:

This letter was addressed to our spokesperson and Gold Star Mom Debbie Lee. Her son Marc was a US Navy SEAL and courageously gave him life fighting for our freedoms in Iraq. Marc made the ultimate sacrifice, but his actions that day kept his buddies alive. He is our hero, and as you can read, he is a hero to the soldier who received this care package as well.

Do you see how just one person, with their donation, has touched the life of a hero serving in Iraq? He shared that care package with his whole unit, touching each of their lives and providing support!
our troops overseas that you support them!
