Can Dad’s Prayers Save His Children?

What about a dad or mom being able to pray to God to forgive his/her children’s sins? After all, once grown and on their own we don’t know what goes on in their lives do we, at least not fully. If the question ever crosses your mind as to whether your prayers cover your children or not maybe this will help settle the issue. Does what is recorded in the book of Acts apply? Acts 16:31 and they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
Old Testament Example or They Acted out in the flesh what we can do in the spirit
Job’s Family Job 1: 1-5
There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was blameless and upright, and one who feared God and shunned evil (believer). And seven sons and three daughters were born to him. Also, his possessions were seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen, five hundred female donkeys, and a very large household, so that this man was the greatest of all the people of the East.
And his sons would go and feast in their houses (living the life of Reilly), each on his appointed day, and would send and invite their three sisters to eat and drink with them. So it was, when the days of feasting had run their course, that Job would send and sanctify them, and he would rise early in the morning and offer burnt offerings according to the number of them all. For Job said, “It may be that my sons have sinned and cursed God in their hearts.” Thus Job did regularly.

“Does Job fear God for nothing? Have you not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land.
As you can from above there are many benefits to living a life pleasing to God but there are many more we rarely think about. Such as what is recorded in Mark 16.
Mark 16:16-18 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; in my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
In these days we now live the above benefits may be very important to consider. Of course all are contingent on that big little word “if” so one must believe. As you see, the first requirement is to be baptized in Jesus name and filled with the Holy Ghost with evidence of speaking in tongues (Acts 2:38) as well as the gifts of the spirit (1st Corinthians 12) with one being tongues and interpretation. I believe this prophecy from Isaiah refers to America but although I strongly disagree, I admit most prophecy scholars say America is not in prophecy but whether or not you agree there can be no denying the fact our water systems are polluted. Notice above it says “drink any deadly thing it shall not hurt them”. Serpents can contain a wide array of entities some with two legs but the notion that one can purposely go about picking up snakes is foolish and is an affront to God or an attempt to tempt God. So this doesn’t mean as some do called snake handlers bring them before the public to demonstrate. This is akin to snake worship and since the devil is often referred to as a serpent so I would suggest wisdom would teach this is wrong. The apostle Paul at Miletus got bit by a poisonous snake and shook it off with no effect on his person is the only example the bible gives us. This nation is a land whose rivers are spoiled. Ecological experts vouch that this significant prophecy has occurred in our waterways. Isaiah simply tells us that dreadful judgment will come upon a nation with outstretched wings, beyond the seas of Israel (referring to the end time daughter of Babylon); a nation with vast measured land areas and polluted waters. That’s us, with its counties, cities, and states. One is amazed as he crosses America by air and sees the staked out acres tens of thousands of miles completely measured and marked. Water tables and aquifers are polluted with drugs and chemical waste as recent news story points out.
Add to that fact Muslim terrorist and many of the immigrants infiltrating America that have evil intent would like nothing better than to kill us using any means possible to include poisoning our wells. You can be thankful God in his wisdom has the believers covered in this event and if he continues to tarry his coming we can expect it to only get worse.
Being able to pray for our children that are taken ill is a great benefit as well as those we love that are sick or possessed with devils.
These are just a few of the benefits that accompany salvation. Pray for your children always that God will forgive their sins, save them, bless them, expand their territory with knowledge and understanding, keep his hand upon them and keep evil from them, which is essentially the prayer of Jabez.
