Post-Racial America?

America was told– by some people– that the election of the first bi-racial president, Barack Hussein Obama, signalled a new era in America and in American politics, a brave new post-racialism era.  Those people may have been wrong.

Indeed, instead of being a unifying force of race-neutralism, President Obama has been the most divisive figure in American history on race and on virtually everything else.

The signs were there long before Obama beat Hillary Clinton et al. in the Democrat primaries and won that party’s nomination for the presidency in September, 2008.

Current Court Jester, aka Vice President Joe Biden during his vainglorious run for the Democrat top spot let slip a now-famous description of Obama during that campaign when he said of the junior senator from Illinois that his opponent was  the “first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy.”

Time.com added that “the implication was that the black people who are regularly seen by whites–or at least those who aspire to the highest office in the land–are none of these things,” i.e., neither articulate, bright, clean, or “nice-looking:” http://tiny.cc/qtzca

Nevertheless, inexplicably, Obama added Biden to the ticket perhaps hoping that loose-lip Joe’s tendency to put his foot in his mouth would distract the electorate from his own reputation as a gaffe machine.

The scheme worked for the most part except when Obama’s racism would get the better of him as when he called white Cambridge cops stupid for doing their job in arresting black professor Henry Louis Gates. Obama's approval rating He then backtracked saying he (stupidly?) hadn’t known all the facts but the racial damage was done despite the choreographed White House Beer Summit that followed.

Obama buddy and professed black racist Rev. Louis Farrakhan dropped another bombshell in a little-publicized video earlier this month, alleging that “Before he [Obama] was elected, he was selected.”

Feeding the widespread rumors that the new president is a puppet chosen by unidentified leftist America-haters, according to Farrakhan, he “was the right man at the right time” for him and for fellow racists Rev. Jeremiah Wright and Rev. Michael Pfleger.

Calypso Louie, all bedecked in his customary white suit, then rambles on about rockets and space, the sum being that Obama was forced to repudiate them for political reasons, something every reasonable American already knows.  When the dust settles, as in Obama’s re-election in 2012, they and others will make a triumphant re-appearance on the national stage.

Finally, putting the lie to the wishful thinking idea that America is now “post-racial,” the least funny comedian on the planet, Bill Maher, uses a Biden stereotype of blacks taken to the extreme when he opines on Obama and the Gulf disaster:  “I thought when we elected a black president, we were going to get a black president. You know, this [BP oil spill] is where I want a real black president. I want him in a meeting with the BP CEOs, you know, where he lifts up his shirt where you can see the gun in his pants. That’s — (in black man voice) ‘we’ve got a motherfu**ing problem here?’ Shoot somebody in the foot:” http://tiny.cc/c9dzd

Now, if a white man had said that . . .  Wait, Maher   is a white man saying that blacks customarily resort to flashing a gun, have foul mouths, and shoot people.  Maher, however, is exempt from being called a racist since he’s a leftist.

I wonder what Sarah Palin would be called had she used the same language.

The only way America could seriously be termed post-racial is when minorities become the majority and whites are the new minority.  At least then we would be afforded all the perks and advantages of minority status.

Yeah, right!  And if blacks could fly, they would circle the pyramids.  They could fly and do that, according to Calypso Louie, until whites came along and shot them down.
