Zogby Agrees With ACD Readers On Debt

J.J. Jackson | March 12, 2010

Liberals hate our polls at American Conservative Daily because day in and day out those polls are not kind to their ideology. Of course, they claim that it is only because conservatives read the site. Well, actually Zogby has a poll that actually tracks very well with our recent question on the deficit.

When asked their thoughts on the national debt and whether or not the $12 trillion that is owed was a problem, 95% of those who voted agree that “Yes, it is a serious problem.”

Do you believe that the current United States debt of over $12 Trillion dollars is a serious problem?

  • Yes, it is a serious problem (95%, 559 Votes)
  • Nah! It is just money and we can spend, spend, spend all we want even if we cannot pay it back (3%, 17 Votes)
  • It is a problem but not a serious one (2%, 14 Votes)

Total Voters: 590

Zogby shows that the results are the same when he asked a similar question:

Ninety-five percent of U.S. adults say it is important to reduce the debt

Of course the answers that respondents came up with proves that many have little understanding for what the real problems are with our federal budget. But that is a topic for later on this weekend I think.
