Hutchison will finish Senate term

SAN ANTONIO (AP) -- Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison, Texas Republican, said Wednesday she is staying in the Senate, ending a series of back-and-forth announcements during the past year about her career plans. Mrs. Hutchison, the state's senior senator, was flanked by Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, Kentucky Republican, and Sen. John Cornyn, Texas Republican, as she told reporters in San Antonio that she will serve out her third term, which ends in 2012.
