There are just some states that are synonymous with liberal policies. When one thinks of states that just absolutely reek of socialist policies at the top of the list are often California and Michigan. But certainly not far behind those two basket cases is New York where taxes are high and services are, well, not much better than anywhere else. But those performing the services are certainly well paid!
Now, facing a short fall in budgets because the state’s leaders have spent, spent and spent more than they had it is coming time to pay the piper. This year New Yorkers can expect their income tax refunds, which is their money which the State wrongfully over collected, to be a little late.
For hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers, the check won’t be in the mail — at least not on time. New York State has stopped paying tax refunds and won’t start again until next month.
The tax refund delay is part of a bigger cash crunch.
Message to New Yorkers: don’t start spending your tax refund money because it’s going to be delayed.
Half a billion dollars’ worth of refund checks were put on hold last Friday, and state beancounters won’t start sending you your money until at least April 1.
Isn’t it just great how liberals and their associates in the government don’t have to abide by the same rules they set for the rest of us? I mean really, could you imagine what would happen if someone told the state of New York that due to their own fiscal irresponsibility the taxes they are supposed to pay would not be in the mail? You know what would happen and states far and wide have draconian laws on the books that start heaping fines and other penalties on anyone that does not tithe the government its due on time.
But will States like New York pay interest on the money they are not returning on time to those that it rightfully belongs to? Nope. Liberals never live in the world they set up for the rest of us. Remember, in their minds your money is their money and you get to have only as much of it as they believe you require.

So just how is that whole liberalism thing working out for you folks up there in New York? Ready to try a little liberty yet?
