Hawaii To Ignore Birthers

Carl Andrews | March 18, 2010

The House Judiciary Committee of Hawaii is considering passing a bill that would allow the state to ignore requests for a copy of Barack Obama’s birth certificate.

“Birthers” are folks who believe that Obama was not born in Hawaii as he claims, thus is not a natural-born U.S. citizen, and therefore is ineligible to be President.

This is in spite of assurances from Hawaii Health Director Dr. Chiyome Fukino stating that she has seen records proving that Omama is a natural-born U.S. citizen.

However, one state officials remarks have me wondering.

When questioned about he pending legislation, Lorrin Kim, the head of the Hawaii Department of Health’s Office of Planning, Policy and Program Development had this to say:
“Sometimes we may be dealing with a cohort of people who believe lack of evidence is evidence of a conspiracy.”

Lack of evidence??

Lorrin, you either have Barack Obama’s birth certificate, or you don’t.

Which one is it?
