White House Social Secretary Desiree Rogers will resign in March, four months after three people crashed the Obama’s first State Dinner, according to several news reports. Ms. Rogers, 50, is a family friend of the Obamas dating back their time in Chicago. As social secretary, Ms. Rogers purportedly helped organize more than 300 events in the administration’s first 14 months, from the State Dinner to the White House Easter Egg Roll.
