I Cannot Say Much Good About Murtha
J.J. Jackson | February 8, 2010
Representative John Murtha, from my home state of Pennsylvania, is dead at the age of 77. Some people say that you should never speak ill of the dead. I always say that you should speak the truth. So I will.
In life Mr. Murtha was really a pig. That doesn’t mean I wish him ill in the next life and I pray that God will seek to forgive him for his repeated transgressions against the inalienable rights of all people he was elected to serve. He will have to answer to the Almighty for stoking a desire to covet what others have in the hearts of his constituents and then acting as an agent to take those things away and redistribute them backed by the threat of force. I hope that he asks for forgiveness and that God will grant him such.
But I also don’t want anyone to forget that while on Earth Mr. Murtha was a dispicable man who was never adverse to bearing false witness against his fellow man such as he did when proclaiming in 2006 that a group of our soldiers, “killed innocent civilians in cold blood,” while in Iraq and after being attacked by terrorists in Haditha. Charges which were proven false if I might remind everyone.
But even despite all his actions while on this Earth I do wish his soul eternal rest. But I will still keep my “Murtha for Traitor 2006″ bumper sticker on my car for a little while longer. Because like I said, I just desire to tell the truth.

This has been quite the topic among us Marines today. Few have anything good to say about the man. Most hope he repented his sins since he claimed to be a Christian.
The 2010 budget just went down by 10% without all the pork he would have added.
