Climate Change Experts Are As Inaccurate As Local Meteorologist

Carl Andrews | February 9, 2010

The weatherman is at it again.

Big snow on the way.

Last week, some of them were really accurate.

And some of them were dead wrong.

A large portion of the U.S. just experienced a snowstorm of massive proportions.

Is that why it’s now usually called climate change instead of global warming?

Where I live, three local television weatherpersons, both daily newspapers, and the local affiliate of the Weather Channel were predicting snow starting on Friday afternoon and that we would see five to seven inches of snow by Saturday afernoon.

Guess how much time I spent on snow removal that Saturday.

Less than five minutes sweeping a dusting of snow off of my front sidewalk.

That may sound like I got lucky that the storm missed me, until you consider all of the postponements and cancellations of sporting, social and scholastic events, evening college classes canceled, etc.

Consider for a moment how many people had to change or abandon their plans, not to mention the financial ramifications.

Everyone knows that the folks predicting the weather sometimes get it right, and sometimes they get it wrong.
The problems caused failed by the weather prediction for my immediate area is one thing, but what are the ramifications when it happens on a global scale?

And thanks to these environmental jihadists who worship at the altar of Al Gore, nation’s from around the world are spending millions, if not billions, of dollars on climate change summits, attempts to reduce CO2 emissions, and on and on.

Most financial analysts agree that the Cap And Trade bill currently awaiting Congressional approval will inflict a crippling blow on the U.S. economy.

And what is all of this hysteria based upon, besides the manic rantings of Al Gore, a snake oil salesman without any scientific qualifications, who millions of people take as gospel, while overlooking the fact that Gore is making tens of millions of dollars off of his “carbon credits” Ponzi scheme.

Or another intellectual giant, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who in 2008 predicted that, thanks to global warming, there would be no snow or cold in Washington D.C.

I wonder how many people who were stupid enough to believe RFK are feeling about that opinion piece.
Many of them can’t re-read it because over 100,000 of them are without power thanks to thirty inches of snow.

Maybe we should base our climate change fears on the United Nations panel of climate experts who based their claims on an article from a magazine article and a college student’s term paper.

How much attention should any rational human being pay to the findings of the United Nations Climate Chief, who made the statement that global warming skeptics should rub their faces with asbestos.

How about the “scientist” who considered suicide when his  global warming findings were questioned?

Of course, some folks are rational enough to see the talk of climate change for the scam that it is.

My point  is, when a supposed “expert” can’t even  accurately predict the next day’s weather, why should I believe any of the claims of Al Gore and his carbon credit cronies?
