But They Are Our Crooks

Once again we see that Americans think that the problem is someone else and place blame away from their own feet. The New York Post reports that a new poll shows that just 34% of Americans think that members of the House and Senate, generically, deserve to be reelected. But as usual, there is a disconnect between this and the results of those that represent them individually.

When it comes just to the House of Representatives, just 51 percent of people believe the member for their district deserves to get re-elected, while 44 percent are giving their reps a thumbs-down, according to the survey.

Yep, throw the crooks out … but keep our crooks … at least just barely. That is the way to read those polls!

CNN polling director Keating Holland tried to put some admirable spin on the numbers. “Voters seem equally angry at both Republicans and Democrats this year.”

This seems to be a common refrain and one that will have to be judged after election day based on actual turnover. But here is what I know from talking to many people. No, they are not “equally angry at both Republicans and Democrats.” They are however equally angry at the regressive progressives in both parties. You know who I mean, those kooks that think being “progressive” entails regressing to the failed ideas of the early and mid 20th Centuries that failed in Mussolini’s Italy, Hitler’s Germany, Stalin’s Russia, Mao’s China, Castro’s Cuba and even FDR’s America to name just a few. That means most Democrats and the RINO Republicans.

I think a lot of people need to look at their own representatives a lot closer. I am not saying that there are not good Representatives and Senators in Congress. Only that until you realize that the problem is not always because of someone else and that someone else’s elected official, nothing much is going to change.
