The Democratic Party has always been good at one annoying little thing. No, not governing. No, it isn’t being rational or logical either. What they have always been “good at” in convincing voters that their opposition is evil and wrong even when the reverse is true. When that doesn’t work wholesale they settle for convincing voters that they are less evil and wrong than their opposition when just the opposite is true. Sorry to all you liberal Democrats out there, but a party that as a whole supports murdering children in the womb, running away from terrorists and letting them have their way with innocent men, women and children around the world and enslaving people to the government though high taxes and redistributive handouts that is about as evil as evil gets and as wrong as wrong gets.
Last year we saw this again. They put forth a smooth talking but unaccomplished community organizer who could weave a lot of words together and sound reasonable – until one dug into his past statements and deeds that is. But the Democratic Party pulled off their magic again in no small part because the Republican Party put up an uninspiring RINO named John McCain who could never be counted on to do the right thing. Heck, remember how he just had to run back to Washington after Rep. Barney Frank’s generated housing market collapse and was all too willing to “do something” – meaning spending money unconstitutionally.
In December of last year after enough lies and vilification, Democrats reached a level of 41.6% among the voting populace. Republicans over the past few years have remained stable at 32-34% but the number of Democrats had fluctuated between 36.3% (Dec 2007), to 41.6% (December 2008) to just 35.5% today (Dec 2009).
Those are pretty big swings which tells anyone paying attention that the Democrats are relying on drawing people who are not normally part of their base into believing, like I said, that they are less evil and wrong. That the numbers that were with them last year have deserted them shows how quickly these folks who were sucked in are willing to leave when they know that they have been lied to.
And boy have they ever been sold a bill of goods not worth the paper they are written on.

Have you ever really looked a democrat in the eye? I mean really look? There is something missing. I know evil is there because I see what they are doing and the incredible number of broken promises. But, they look like they are “disconnected” from reality. An emptiness appears and their answer for everything is robotic; “it’s Bush’s fault”.
You hit the nail on the head with your post. I have sent this on to many of my Conservative friends. You are saying what they have been saying for a very long time.
