William J. Kelly pushes back for the long haul
Cao | December 3, 2009
Warner Todd Huston sent out information this morning regarding William J. Kelly exclusive, He’s in ’til the end! Bill Kelly reached out to Huston who is a well-known and well-respected conservative writer across the web, and wanted to reiterate that he will definitely be on the ballot, and he is in this race to win. Kelly told Huston he intends to win, despite the “vicious campaign” waged against him.
It’s here at RedCounty.com (up right now) and here at PubliusForum.com
Huston emails: So we will have to see what this Primary brings us in the Comptrollers race as it appears we have a three-man race.
The candidates are -Judy Baar Topinka, Jim Dodge and William J. Kelly.
As Steve Ruggiero, William J. Kelly’s campaign manager said today through email, “The importance of this piece is today is the last day to drop off the ballot. Apparently this is a message that needed to be reprinted because we STILL have certain people demanding that Bill drop out of the race.”
Every time I’ve seen Bill Kelly, there has been no question in my mind as to his commitment to get in there and shake things up as a representative of the voters. When he spoke at the Palatine Tea party; when I saw him at the One Nation Under God Foundation luncheon and spoke with him briefly there; when I spoke with him at the Candidate Forum hosted by the Lake County Right to Life group and recently held at the College of Lake County in Grayslake.
Tom Mannis at the Chicago News Bench lashed out at Champion News’ Jack Roeser for “lying” about Bill Kelly not being in the race. Now whether they were “lying” or relying on uninformed sources we do not know, and I think that was a little bit harsh. But I understand the point regarding the function of the Comptroller’s office is not to take a stand on issues; it’s to do the job of the Comptroller, which is more of an accounting function.
The State’s chief fiscal officer is the Comptroller. As part of the chief fiscal officer responsibilities, the Comptroller’s Office keeps the official record of the State’s receipts and payments. Payments are normally called expenditures. For all State treasury held funds, the Comptroller’s review is required before money can be deposited into a fund or paid from a fund. The Statewide Accounting Management System (abbreviated SAMS) keeps track of the State’s receipts and payments.
You can read more about what the Illinois Comptroller does here.
But that’s neither here nor there; the point is -William J. Kelly is still “in the game” and will be on the ballot in February.

Bill Kelly is a completely unaccomplished wannabe playboy. The only thing he will accomplish is insuring Topinka is on the ballot in November for Democrats to hammer on.
Any self-respecting conseratie should view the videos Kelly himself posted and then ask yourself if this the person we conseratives want representing our cause?
